Publication is also designed to assist professionals who counsel individuals considering care options. Also, maintains a website that provides the "Senior Living Guide."

Helps individuals and their families explore options and develop plans to care for older adults. Program helps to identify a loved one’s strengths, needs, concerns and preferences; to establish goals and implement a plan of care; to connect individuals to community resources and government benefit programs; to coordinate doctor appointments, transportation, and caregiver services. Services include counseling to help cope with issues associated with aging, such as changes in independence, health problems, dementia, death of a loved one, isolation, and family dynamics. Counseling is also available for coping with mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression.

Offers use of computers with Internet access and conducts computer classes on topics such as using E-mail, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Offers speakers on a variety of topics such as safety for the elderly, avoiding scams, taxes, and fire safety.

Programming includes workshops, conferences, and seminars throughout the year. All provide professional CEU's to health and social work practitioners. Also offers a graduate level certificate in Gerontology. The Center also participates collaboratively in Research efforts about Aging and Health with other University Departments/Schools. Also offers a certificate program in Gerontology.

If the legal problem cannot be solved over the phone, the client may be referred to a private attorney who can provide the service. Also offers pamphlets on a variety of legal topics.

Offerings may include, but are not limited to, exercise classes, arts and crafts, cards and table games, ceramics, dancing instruction, monthly luncheons, a book discussion group, special events, speakers, trips, computer classes, computers with internet access, a game room, and tours.
