Services | Scope Senior Services

Provide senior adults with daily recreational activities, educational events, lunch, socialization, and fitness programs. Supportive services division for Trumbull’s retired and elderly population provides social work and counseling, prescription assistance and Medicaid/Medicare counsel, emergency assistance program, and free income tax assistance through AARP during the months of February through April each year. Pre-Admission Screening System Providing Options And Resources Today (PASSPORT) | Catholic Social Services Of The Miami Valley

Program provides in-home alternatives to nursing home care for low-income seniors. Services include: a personal care plan to meet the individual's needs at home by arranging an appropriate mix of services to supplement care provided by family members and friends. Eligible services include adaptive and assistive equipment, assistance in the home with health activities, such as taking medications appropriately and other health-related activities, with case/care management, adult day care, chore service, home medical equipment and supplies, emergency response systems, home-delivered meals, homemaker services, independent living assistance, minor home modifications, nutrition consultation, personal care services, medical and non-medical transportation. Program also administers the Pre-Admission Review process that determines the level of care for persons who want to enter Medicaid-certified nursing homes and periodically offers vendors training on dealing with elderly/disabled individuals.

University Center On Aging And Health | Case Western Reserve University

Provides a University-wide, interdisciplinary Center that offers numerous continuing education opportunities focusing on aging and health issues for professionals and the public. Programming includes workshops, conferences, and seminars throughout the year. All provide professional CEU's to health and social work practitioners. Also offers a graduate level certificate in Gerontology. The Center also participates collaboratively in Research efforts about Aging and Health with other University Departments/Schools. Also offers a certificate program in Gerontology.
