Survival Kit contains a sheet for the Pack N Play, a sleep sack for the infant, a bedtime storybook and educational materials for the parents. Family must come to Board of Health office to pick up Pack N Play and receive instruction on proper assembly and use before taking Pack N Play home.

Provides public health insurance for individuals who have been determined to be disabled by Social Security or Medicaid, but are currently able to work. Clients earning over a certain amount may be required to pay a monthly premium.
Provides program that expands Healthy Start program by targeting families that are working toward self sufficiency and do not have health care for their children. Children up to age 19 in families earning 200% below the federal poverty guideline may be eligible for the program. The Ohio Direction Card (EBT Card) is an electronic debit card that replaced food assistance coupons. The card can be used to purchase food products for human consumption at participating stores. - Those who are homeless or have zero (0) income may be eligible for one (1) month expedited benefit within 24 hours. - Benefits that are not used in a month may be carried over to the next month, up to one (1) year.

There are a variety of items available at no cost through the Health Department. Families do have to be eligible and there is a limit to how much they can receive, but if anyone is in need of the following items, they can ask for the WIC department for more information. - Safety gates - High chairs - Pack-n-plays - Safety locks for cabinets, etc. - Outlet covers - Mesh guard rail covers - Door knob locks - Lights.
Provides monthly cash benefits to aged, blind, and disabled adults/children with limited income and resources. Benefit amount varies, but average is $735 for an individual or $1,103 for a couple. In Ohio, individuals who receive at least $1 in SSI benefits qualify for Medicaid.
Provides and assists in arranging for child care services for families who are on public assistance, employed or in training who meet income as well as other eligibility criteria; payment can be made to licensed day care centers or certified home providers.
