Payments are designed to reimburse the initial costs associated with taking a relative's child/ren into the home. Those eligible can apply for $525 per child initially, and $300 per child at six month intervals, not to exceed eight total payments.

Offers support to kinship caregivers who are providing full-time care to a minor child whose biological parents are unable to do so. The Kinship Support Program helps with a variety of free short-term services that can be accessed once a calendar year.

The Kinship Child Care Program can help eligible kinship caregivers pay for child care. Those eligible can select a child care provider licensed and contracted by the state, and the child can then receive child care services at no cost.

The maximum incentive amount may not exceed eight payments and will not be provided for longer than 48 consecutive months.

The maximum incentive amount may not exceed eight payments and will not be provided for longer than forty-eight consecutive months. KPI payments are in addition to Ohio Works First (OWF) cash assistance received for the child.
