Process includes completing an approved agency home study to include criminal background check (fingerprints) for all adult household members and a safety audit of the household. Description
Provides short term, time-limited payments to eligible relative caregivers who have obtained permanent legal custody of a child. Not emergency assistance. Payments are designed to reimburse the initial costs associated with taking a relative's child/ren into the home. Those eligible can apply for $525 per child initially, and $300 per child at six month intervals, not to exceed eight total payments.
