Provides support for the physical, social, emotional, mental, and language development of eligible children through coordinated care between home visitors, a Family Partnership Coordinator, and a Health and Nutrition Coordinator.
The program provides services to 284 children birth to age five, families and prenatal women in Pickaway County. Services include: preparation for school readiness and support to families with children who have special needs, prenatal and postnatal education and support, child development screenings and assessments, support in the area of parenting, nutrition, medical, dental and mental health needs. EHS/HS has three program options available: Full Day Infant/Toddler Center Care serves eight infants and toddlers in a classroom setting located at 722 Clinton St. Circleville, Ohio. Teacher/Advocates use “Creative Curriculum” for classroom planning. Early Head Start Home Base provides pregnant women/teens and families with children ages birth to three with a 90 minute weekly home visit. Home Visitors use the “Parents as Teachers” curriculum and child development activities and parent activities along with opportunities for group socialization. Early Head Start provides prenatal education and support while promoting healthy prenatal outcomes for pregnant women. Half-day and Full Day Head Start Preschool provides services to children, ages three to five, at locations in Circleville, Ashville and Westfall. Classes are in session Monday through Thursday for either 3 ½ hours each day or 7 hours a day during the school year. Teacher/Advocates use “Creative Curriculum” for classroom planning.

Offers a comprehensive early childhood education program for children in economically disadvantaged families. The program includes preschool readiness learning experiences, speech, language, and hearing screenings, vision and dental checks, snacks and meals, and parent involvement opportunities.
Offer home visiting program that provides services to promote children's growth and development. Service include prenatal visits, developmental screenings, literacy activities, linkage to community resources; bi-weekly socialization opportunities; and home visits using the research based Parents as Teachers curriculum
Child development program that includes education and comprehensive services. Program is federall funded. Head Start and Early Head Start also available through home based services. Comprehensive services include: * Medical and dental * Nutrition * Physical and developmental disability screening * Mental health * Parent, Family, Community Engagement (PFCE)

Provides infant and childcare services for children birth to age 3. Children may receive care for up to 12 hours per day, 5 days per week. Home-Based Program provides families with 90-minute home visits each week to guide parents as they learn skills to help children grow and develop. Provides hands-on learning experiences for children and parents. Children and parents also have opportunities to participate in two group socialization experiences each month, which offer a chance for children to develop social skills and parents to network with one another.
Early Head Start is a federal funded home visitation program serving income-eligible pregnant women and children from birth to age three. Through the EHS program you and your child will experience: - Early education lessons inside your home - Parent education and parent-child activities - Complete health and mental health services, from pregnancy to the age of 3 - High quality child care services provided directly or working with local, community child care providers. We are dedicated to: - Promoting healthy pregnancies and positive outcomes for pregnant women - Enhancing the mental and physical development of very young children - Encouraging a happy and supportive family structure. EHS believes the first few years are learning years for both you and your baby. We will work to guide your family in a healthy and well-informed direction. Early Head Start supports the physical, social, emotional, mental, and language development of each child. In order to do this, parenting education and the support of a positive parent-child relationship are critical goals of the EHS program.
