The Marion County Dog Pound is under the control of the Marion County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff is committed to serving the community by protecting the health, safety and welfare of animals. MCSO’s Dog Wardens are primarily focused on domestic animal issues and the enforcement of dog laws. In their role as Dog Warden, deputies respond to calls for dog abuse, aggressive or vicious dogs, abandonment or neglect, as well as dogs running at large or any other violation of dog laws. It is required by law to hold a dog for 3 days to allow the owner to claim it. If it’s not claimed, it will then be an adoptable dog. We will post all adoptable dogs on our Facebook page along with pictures. The adoption fee is $123.00 which includes the price of tags, spay and neuter surgery and the Bordatello, Rabies and Distemper Parvo Vaccines. If the adopter is over the age of 60, the adoption portion of the fee is waived (dog tag and vet care fees still apply).

Main Place staff is made up of individuals who have overcome the impact that mental challenges had on their lives. Through Peer Support Groups, they can: 1.Share their wisdom, knowledge and experience in recovery; 2.Make you aware of choices you have and assist in implementing your own personal plan of recovery; 3.Link you to resources beyond the mental health system; 4.Help you master the skills necessary to recover; and 5.Provide comfort and support along the journey. Support groups are available on a variety of topics including, but not limited to: Addiction, Anxiety, Bi-polar, Depression, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Men's groups, Women's groups, Wellness and Recovery and more.

Provides a bereavement support group for youth and their families. Group participants share their experience and learn from the experiences of others. Age-appropriate discussions, craft projects, games, and books are selected to facilitate the expression of feelings. Support groups for adult caregivers and parents for the participants are offered during the children's group meetings. A dinner is served before the meeting.

Every Sunday morning a hot breakfast is served before worship. Doors open on Sunday morning at 8am for conversation and fellowship.

LSS 211 Central Ohio

Provides care and preschool services for children ages 3-5. Children enrolled in the program attend classes Mon through Thu during the school year. Centers provide a daily meal and snack along with hands-on activities. Children are provided with medical, mental health, nutrition and dental services. Families also receive at least two home visits and two parent-teacher conferences.

Youth are assigned a Community Support Provider, Independent Living Mentor, and Counselor who assist youth to reach their goals. The Transitional Living Team teaches independent living skills while providing mental health support and secure living arrangements.

Educates parents and care givers on quality indicators of child care, makes referrals to child care providers, helps link families to community resources, provides general and Step Up to Quality approved trainings to early care and education professionals, offers CDA credential training, and supports child care programs through technical assistance and resources.

Enables the safe disposal of unwanted and expired prescription and over the counter medications. Pills should be removed from bottles and placed in baggies. This is a great opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft. *Acceptable items for disposal are: Prescription drugs, Over-the-counter medications , Pet medications, Vitamins , Ointments, creams or lotions , Liquid medications, cough syrups . *Items NOT accepted include: Liquids, injectables and inhalers.
