Program provided by Ohio Development Services Agency through LEADS is designed to help qualified households pay for summer cooling. This program applies to electric utilities only and is available from July 1 through Aug. 31 and provides a one-time payment assistance of up to $175. This emergency assistance may be used to keep electricity connected and/or allow for the receipt of a window air-conditioning unit and/or fan.

Program is geared towards individuals with a variety of physical and cognitive disabilities. We serve ages 5 and up. Adults are also served. Therapeutic Horseback Riding students use their abilities to learn the actual skills involved in riding a horse. The active participation required by riding allows our students to benefit from the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social aspects of horseback riding. A therapeutic riding student may need two or more volunteers, hand-over-hand assistance, as well as verbal and/or physical support to safely ride a horse. Lessons focus on encouraging riders to be as independent as possible, and can include grooming and tacking, crafts, formal riding instruction, games and exercises on horseback, sensory trail rides, and horse management. Lessons emphasize natural horsemanship techniques, helping riders safely interact with horses from the ground as well as in the saddle.

Provides legal assistance that helps individuals who have been convicted of certain misdemeanors or felonies file a petition for a Certificate of Qualification for Employment (CQE). This assists in regaining the civil rights regarding employment they lost as a consequence of the conviction. CQEs can be used to obtain employment or an occupational license.

Offering classes that will provide parents and preschool children with strategies to help ensure the child is successful in kindergarten.

Provides monthly cash benefits to the spouse, divorced spouse, child or dependent parent of a eligible worker who died. Benefits are typically 75-100% of the worker's benefit. Some beneficiaries may also qualify for one-time payment after death.

Provides a diagnostic laboratory specializing in the identification of plant diseases, plant health issues and insect related problems. Includes bed bug identification. Individuals will receive a response within days.

CSM provides free hot meals daily to anyone who is hungry. Hands out bags of food to take home and on Thursdays, following the hot meal, hands out boxes of food to take home. Thursday Giveaways also includes free clothing, household items, furniture, and special request items are available to all who show up.

Provides temporary and permanent placards that enable drivers who qualify to park in designated parking slots. Also issues motor vehicle license plates with disabilities insignia.

Provides a publicly-funded charter school that offers year-round educational services to students with autism. Services include individualized student lessons, speech and occupational therapy, social skills training, vocational skills training, adapted aquatic program, and iPads and sensory integration.

Accepts donations of used computers. Donations are either recycled or sold in the agency's retail stores.

Drive-thru food pantry.

Offers psychiatric evaluation and follow up regarding psychiatric medications. Service includes medication education, monitoring, and informed consent. Services are provided by a psychiatrist and psychiatric nurses. Psychiatrists provide prescriptions and can provide medications from in-agency pharmacy. Services to women include attention to psychiatric issues related to stages in their lives.

Provides public fixed-route bus services within Northern Kentucky and downtown Cincinnati, including local, express, and airport routes.

Offers volunteer opportunities for those interested in performing clerical work, helping with education and literacy, scheduling delivery and delivering books to Amish schools, delivering books to homebound patrons, and fund raising at special events organized by the Geauga County Library Foundation or the individual auxiliary groups associated with a particular branch of the library system (West Geauga Friends of the Library, etc.).

Blood Pressure screening is available upon request. No physician referral is necessary, however, they are often performed at the request of a physician to assist in monitoring the patient's hypertension. Individuals are welcome to come in at any time and have their blood pressure checked. Cholesterol - ALT/AST Screening is provided by appointment. A 12-hour fasting period prior to testing is recommended to ensure accuracy of your testing. Cholesterol screening measures the following:

• Total Cholesterol
• HDL (good cholesterol)
• LDL (bad cholesterol)
• Triglycerides
• ALT/AST (liver function)
• Glucose.

Our nursing staff will explain your test results and provide you with American Heart Association approved lists of foods to help bring your cholesterol numbers in line with current AMA recommendations. We will fax or mail your cholesterol results to your physician at your request. Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) testing measures the following: NA+, K+, CL-, CA - electrolytes or minerals that regulate cell function and internal water balance TCO2 - bicarbonate that keeps the blood from becoming too acidic or too basic GLU - glucose BUN / CRE - kidney function ALP, ALT / AST, TBIL - liver function ALB & TP - proteins in the blood, kidney and liver function Our nursing staff will explain your test results. We will fax or mail your CMP results to your physician at your request.

Offers on-site Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at church. Participants are asked to respect privacy and the guidelines of the program.
