Households must have gross annual income at or below 175 percent of the federal poverty guidelines and must have one member of household age 60 or older or a physician has certified a medical necessity.
Mon-Fri 8am-4pm. Program is available July 1 through September 30 each year.
To apply for the Summer Crisis Program, consumers need to contact their local community action agency. The community action agency determines the benefits that can be provided. The program is available from July 1 until September 30, 2021.

Program provided by Ohio Development Services Agency through LEADS is designed to help qualified households pay for summer cooling. This program applies to electric utilities only and is available from July 1 through Aug. 31 and provides a one-time payment assistance of up to $175. This emergency assistance may be used to keep electricity connected and/or allow for the receipt of a window air-conditioning unit and/or fan.
