The Tire Disposal Voucher Program will cover the cost of 5 passenger tires per year for each household within our district. Resident is responsible for transporting tires to facility in Piketon, Ohio.

Seniors can ride any of our services at NO COST to them. Whether you need one of our flexible and convenient Deviated Fixed Routes or to schedule a ride with our Demand Response service, all services are provided at no cost.

Provides information about defects and recalls concerning motor vehicles, motorcycles, scooters, RVs, trailers, child safety devices (seats), and other motor vehicle parts and equipment and accepts and investigates complaints concerning them. Develops safety standards to ensure motor vehicle and traffic safety.

Provides public health insurance for individuals who have been determined to be disabled by Social Security or Medicaid, but are currently able to work. Clients earning over a certain amount may be required to pay a monthly premium.

Provides meals for individuals and families in need on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Area churches/organizations serve a meal each day of the week on their specified day.

Provides a mental health diagnostic assessment to determine the issues or problems facing the client and to aid in determining the course of treatment. Client does not have to be involved in any of the agency's programs in order to make use of this service. Cannot do custody evaluations.

Provides a thrift store for the public specializing in new or gently worn seasonal clothing, household items, and furniture. *NOTE* If donating clothing, please only donate clothing for the current season. Proceeds support homeless individuals and families in the area.

Provides emergency shelter. Intake is performed through Coordinated Intake.

Provides electric service to the residents and businesses of the Village. Maintains line and monitor the distribution system. Constructs new distribution systems, installs new services to business and residential customers, maintains street lights, assists other Village departments with their electrical service needs.

Purchases and renovates multi-unit apartment buildings in the area.

Program under Ohio Citizen Corps umbrella. Offers a community-based, civilian, volunteer program. Uses volunteers to help strengthen local public health infrastructure and respond to disasters across the state or nation.

Limited schedule soup kitchen available for clients, also open to the public but non-clients will need to leave following the meal.

Healthchek is a preventive Health Care Program for Newborns, Children, and Teens.

• Children eligible for Healthchek services through Medicaid may receive free physical exams as well as dental, vision, and hearing services.
• Newborns should have six preventive health checkups by age one, and two more checkups between one to two years of age. Those checkups will also make sure your child receives all of the shots he/she needs. Shots prevent illnesses that cause pain, fever, rashes, cough, sore throats, hearing loss, blindness, crippling, brain damage - even death.
• Children & teens...From age two and up, your child should have a preventive Healthchek exam once a year. Healthchek services are also important for teenagers--adolescence is a time of rapid change and growth in the body. The Healthchek screening may serve as a sports physical. ACDJFS can assist you by providing names of doctors and dentists, strategies for scheduling appointments, and transportation to those appointments.

If you are interested in Healthchek, contact ACDJFS at 800-762-3775. Eligibility is based on income and need. If you think you might be eligible, you can complete the Healthchek and pregnancy services assessment form (provided by ACDJFS) and return it to us. If you are eligible for Healthchek services through Medicaid, we will contact you and arrange for services.

Offering limited emergency assistance with car insurance bills and car repair expenses to eligible households. Eligible household can receive a one-time financial assistance for one (1) form of vehicle expense, including a car insurance bill OR car repair. NOTE: Assistance for these services is limited and there may be period of time that assistance is temporarily unavailable.

Provides vouchers (referral slips) to use at Good Samaritan of Ross County's food pantry.

Seeks volunteers to lead Cub Scout packs, Scouts, BSA troops and other Erie Shores Council Scouting programs.

Provides maintenance of the sewer system for the City of Berea. In case of basement flooding, will send an inspector to the site to determine if blockage or break is in the main sewer line (for example, the storm sewer in the street) or on private property (from the curb to the house). Will snake from the curb to the house to remove blockage if property has a street opening to sewer line. Will not snake line from inside the house.

Provides enrollment counseling for MyCare Ohio, Ohio's Integrated Care Delivery System (ICDS) administered by the Ohio Dept of Medicaid. MyCare Ohio is a managed care plan selected by the state of Ohio to coordinate the physical, behavioral and long-term care services for individuals who are eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare. Enrollment is mandatory for people who are 18 or older, reside in Ohio and currently receive services from both Medicaid and Medicare.

Enforces property maintenance ordinances for the City of Mansfield. Investigates complaints of litter, junk and trash, high grass (weeds), parking in front yards, inoperable or wrecked vehicles on properties in the city limits. Issues, inspects new construction permits, demolition permits, electrical permits, etc. for the City of Mansfield.
