Outside Ramps.

Serves residents of Portage County with household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level that meet the following criteria: - Car repairs must be necessary for vehicle safety and/or operation. Written or verbal confirmation from a mechanic will be required. - Applicant must be currently employed or have a documentable job offer requiring care transportation (exceptions can be made for those with a documentable medical condition for self or family member requiring on-going, regular appointments with no practical alternate means of transportation). - Applicant must have car insurance if seeking assistance with a car repair.
- Proof of income. - Proof of employment or of medical condition and appointment. - Driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance. - Car insurance bill or car repair expense estimate from mechanic.

Call the office and ask to speak with the Emergency Assistance Case Worker. Service is currently being offered by appointment and if possible, completed by phone and email.

Other sources of payment or a co-pay by the client may be required prior to receiving assistance from the agency.

Description

Offering limited emergency assistance with car insurance bills and car repair expenses to eligible households. Eligible household can receive a one-time financial assistance for one (1) form of vehicle expense, including a car insurance bill OR car repair. NOTE: Assistance for these services is limited and there may be period of time that assistance is temporarily unavailable.
