Clients at the Mission receive food, clothing, and shelter under the conditions of the Mission policy. Opportunities for personal improvement in basic education, spiritual life counseling (upon request) and case management services are available to all men and women in our care. A mandatory admission and intake process to properly track clients, providing consistency in services rendered in-house and in the community. Zero tolerance for substance abuse is maintained throughout the Mission. All clients are required to declare all medications during admission. Men’s department dorms are divided into the transient dorm, a case management dorm and the Transformers Dorm (a spiritual life dorm for those men in our spiritual life programs). Women & Family Care dorms are divided into the Observation Area, Single Female Dorm (4 rooms with 18 beds) and the Family Dorm (14 rooms). Entry into the dorms is based upon specific requirements based upon Mission policy.

Provides mental health and chemical addiction services, diagnostic assessments, individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, medications, case management, partial hospitalization, sex offender treatment, batterers' intervention program and crisis hotline.

Provides cognitive behavioral sessions that teach skills to cope with anger and misguided violence and to develop nonviolent alternatives for dealing with conflict. May be used to fulfill court requirements.

Offers a computerized telephone reassurance program for older adults and others who live alone. Each day at a designated time a call is made to the client. If the client does not answer the phone, a contact person is notified or if needed police or emergency personnel will go to the client's home.

Provides fatherhood parenting classes.

Offers alternative programming to help students with social-emotional disabilities achieve academic success. Academic and community experiences are offered with opportunities to reintegrate into or to be combined with traditional high school classes. Designed to help youth who are at risk of dropping out of school stay in school.

Offers central intake for expectant women and families to provide resources and coordinate assistance by community health workers (CHW) in the client's preferred setting (home, agency, and/or community setting). Performs a detailed screening to identify barriers, needs, and opportunities for women and their families and then a step-by-step approach to action is taken to each item. Applies for and/or enrolls individuals in various community programs that the individual qualifies for, such as WIC and Medicaid. Completes a minimum of three (3) outreach attempts on each person screened to ensure all needs/opportunities have been met.

Provides utility, rent and mortgage assistance. Programs are available for assistance for up to 5 months, for security deposits or 1st month's rent, and for subsidies for people who have applied for disability or are currently full-time students in a GED program, college, or other training program.

Oversees services for health care, cash assistance, food assistance, child care and child support enforcement and administration in Ohio. Offers online application for benefits such as OWF (Ohio Works First)/TANF cash assistance, refugee cash assistance, Disability Financial Assistance and food stamps (SNAP) and PRC. Information and case statuses are available through the call center.

Offering free, fresh produce giveaways at various locations.

Provides bereavement support and education for individuals dealing with the loss of a loved one.

Provides utility services, including: street maintenance, water, sewer maintenance, and snow removal services to the City of Urbana.

Provides transitional housing for men in the early stages of recovery from alcoholism. Individuals must be self-admitted and are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Individuals must have a minimum of three days' sobriety before being accepted. Recovery program and meetings are held on-site daily and individuals are required to attend a minimum number of meetings per week.

Provides immunizations. Annual flu shot clinics are held in addition to regular immunization clinics.

Provides remedial education for students struggling with reading, math, and other basic skills.

Serves a hot meal.

Provides a variety of building investigation and code enforcement activities, accepts reports of potential building code violations, issues permits, and reviews the work of contractors or home builders.

General library services provided to the public.

AEP will assist military families who show financial hardships because of a family member on active duty. AEP will extend payment arrangements up to six months for customers or household members who are on active duty.
