Residential Detoxification is a sub-acute inpatient program for adult men and women. Registered nurses staff this program and the facility 24 hours-a-day. Counselors provide referral to the next level of care. Outpatient Detoxification provides the same daytime services 7 days a week, allowing patients to reside in their homes.

Agency has been approved by the U.S. Trustees office to offer this course.

Program provided by Ohio Development Services Agency is designed to help qualified households pay for summer cooling. This program applies to electric utilities only and is available from July 1 through Sep. 30 and provides one-time payment assistance. This emergency assistance may be used to keep electricity connected and/or allow for the receipt of a window air-conditioning unit and/or fan. Air conditioners or fans may be available to qualifying households if they have not received an a/c unit or fn in the past 3 years. Maximum benefit amount is $350 for PUCO regulated electric companies and $400 for non-PUCO electric suppliers (Co-Op) applied as payment the household's electric bill. The cost of the a/c and/or fan must be factored in and cannot exceed the maximum total benefit after paying the electric bill for these households.

Assists older adults in finding meaningful employment. The agency provides job success coaching and helps the client negotiate pay with participating for-profit and non-profit employers.

Athens-Hocking-Vinton ADAMH is selected by state law to fund community-based behavioral health care (mental health recovery and substance abuse/addiction services) to citizens of Crawford-Marion Counties regardless of individual financial circumstances. ADAMH makes services available through contracts with local not-for-profit agencies that follow strict standards mandated by the state and federal governments and by Athens-Hocking-Vinton ADAMH.

Provides rental space for meetings and special events in two seperate historic buildings. Bond building can hold 300 guests and the basement of the Auburn Church can hold 65 guests.

Volunteer mentors for the Lunch Buddy Program are welcome. The Lunch Buddy Program is an adult and child mentoring, academic support program starting in the fourth grade. Mentors meet with their student once a month for lunch.

Centeralizes all the experts who must talk to the child. Children now need to come to only one place to talk to those investigating their abuse. They are interviewed by a forensic interviewer who has been specifically trained in this area. All interviews are recorded. The investigation is streamlined, information is shared and decisions are based on more expert information. In addition, services such as medical evaluations and counseling are coordinated via the CAC. As a result, children are able to begin their healing process faster. Disciplines work together to conduct interviews and make team decisions about investigation, treatment, management and prosecution of child abuse. A multidisciplinary team approach brings all of the disciplines together to offer comprehensive services to children and their non-offending family members. In addition, the CAC believes it's important to provide our community with the tools and resources to prevent child abuse and neglect. Community awareness and presentations provided by the CAC are devised to increase awareness of abuse, prevention, provide parent education, and provide safety information to families and children. Our trained facilitators provide free Stewards of Children Workshops. Adults that attend will learn new skills to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

Provides case management assistance to eligible patients who may need social services while in the hospital or upon discharge. Department also oversees a number of support groups for patients and families of those diagnosed with a variety of conditions.

Works to prevent animal cruelty in Medina County. Investigates cases and takes calls or complaints alleging reports of animal abuse and neglect. Places rescued or injured animals with volunteer foster families who care for them in various homes throughout the community.

Houses birth records for the county filed after December 20, 1908 and death records filed after January 1, 1954. If a person was born in Ohio a birth record is available from the vital statistics. Any existing birth and death records from 1867 through December 19, 1908 are located at the Morgan County, Ohio Genealogy Probate Court. Only certified copies are available of birth and death records. There is a fee. Payment is due at time of request. There is a form to complete. Requests are fulfilled immediately. There is no waiting time.

Provides a mentoring program for families. Clients establish and work toward goals with a client advocate, using a video-based curriculum that is evidence based. In return, the client has the opportunity to earn vouchers which can be redeemed for diapers, clothing, and other baby items.
