Provides scholarships for blind students to use to continue their education past high school. Scholarships can be used to attend any post-secondary school or graduate school program. There is a national scholarship program and a state scholarship program. Students may apply to both.

Offers case management services to youth and adults who experience severe and persistent mental illness. Provides ongoing assessments of needs, assistance in managing basic needs, and the development of daily living skills to individuals or small groups. Assists with coordination of services, finding needed community services, advocacy and outreach, individual and family education and training, as well as eliminating barriers to seeking or maintaining education and employment.

Seeks to obtain both perishable and nonperishable items in quantities that can be distributed to area food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other feeding programs for those in need. Receives and distributes other needed household products such as diapers, personal hygiene items, detergents, and cleaning supplies that cannot be purchased with food stamps. Accepts food donations from restaurants, grocery stores, farmers, retailers, food manufacturers, food distributors, and the general public. Accepts the following items:

• Fresh produce.
• Refrigerated items.
• Frozen foods including meats.
• Bakery items.
• Personal care products.
• Bulk packaged products.
• Dry canned goods.

Enroll children ages 6 weeks through 5 years of age and work closely with families to meet each individual child’s needs. This center is partnered with Central Community House, a comprehensive, neighborhood-based community center that serves the near east and near south neighborhood.

Support group that allows family members a chance to fully share their struggles and give support and comfort to each other. Groups include information and resources and educational presentations. Meets at Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall - 1304 Euclid Avenue in Zanesville.

Offers free dinner for community members.

Wigs, make up, chest binders, accessories to assist with gender exploration or affirmation. Available for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community in need.

Assisted Living community assists residents with activities of daily living and basic care support in a homelike or apartment setting. Residents receive three meals a day, recreational and social activities, housekeeping, linen service, apartment maintenance and transportation. Trained caregivers provide attention and assistance with medication management, bathing, dressing and cooking 24-hours a day. In addition, staff will coordinate services with outside healthcare providers and monitor residents to ensure they are healthy. This conservation training program provides a balanced, integrated practical course in plant science. Core topics that are to be part of the training in every county are oriented to Extension and the Master Gardener Program: Basic Botany; Plant Physiology; Soils and Soil Fertility; Basic Entomology; Basic Plant Pathology; Plant Disease Diagnosis; Pesticide Use and Safety; Plant Identification; Home Lawn Care; Annuals; Perennials; Trees and Shrubs; Home Vegetable Production; Home Fruit Production; Backyard Wildlife Management; Herbs; Special topics, based on local needs, may be part of the curriculum.

Units are one bedroom apartment complexes located near The Ohio State University campus. Every apartment is specially designed with shower stalls, countertops, door pulls, and has conveniently placed switches and thermostats. Kitchens have a microwave, full-size refrigerator, stove top and disposal.

Provides contraceptive counseling, birth control, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment and HIV testing.

Offers a tax reduction program which provides Harrison County homeowners with relief on a portion of their home value. With homestead, eligible homeowners receive an exemption on a portion of appraised value from taxation for a single family home. Eligible military Veterans receive an additional exemption. Will answer questions and assist with completing forms regarding the reduction.

Provides a Choice Food Pantry for people in need.

Local chapter members learn leadership skills and electoral practices by electing officers of the group. Monthly meetings are focused on topics related to disability advocacy and building self-advocacy skills.
