Our medical providers offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) services to patients to reduce the likelihood of contracting HIV. Our providers are also trained in providing Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) an emergency-based treatment for the prevention of HIV after possible exposure has occurred. HOPWA assists Equitas Health clients and any HIV positive clients in paying rent, mortgage, electric, gas and water bills to prevent homelessness or interruption of utility service in an emergency situation. Case management services can include: budgeting, counseling, education, referrals to resources, advocacy, and transportation.

Legal services are provided during legal clinics. Referrals to community attorneys who offer pro bono or discounted services are also given.

Provides the opportunity for those who have had HIV/AIDS for an extended period of time and who are doing relatively well to meet with others in their situation in a group that is facilitated by a professional and to get support and share concerns.

Offers a reentry program for individuals at risk of homelessness with severe and persistent mental illnesses or HIV diagnosis exiting the prison system. Supportive services include case management, behavioral healthcare, employment, reentry support, and rental subsidies for housing.

Helping Hands TBRA provides supportive services and a minimum of 12 months of rental assistance to a maximum of permanent assistance (dependent on need and funding availability) to people living with HIV who are housing unstable or homeless. Harmony Place manages subsidized housing and supportive services at a 16-unit complex of 1-, 2- and 3- bedroom units for individuals and families. Shelter Plus Care provides subsidized housing certificates with supportive services.

Provides case management for individuals living with HIV, including individual support maintaining medical care and medication adherence, assistance with the cost of HIV medical care, medications, dental services, mental health care and health insurance premiums (income guidelines apply), referrals for substance abuse and/or mental health recovery, and help connecting with other service providers and resources.

Provides health insurance premium payments up to $1,200 for eligible individuals, allowing them to continue existing health insurance policies, thereby receiving adequate prescription drug coverage.

Offers a mutual support group whose members are individuals who have AIDS/HIV. Serves a meal and provides an opportunity for participants to share information, practical tips for daily living and encouragement. Periodic outings (such as bowling, picnic, movies, and so forth) are held.

Provides information and resources regarding discrimination related to sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and HIV status. Selects cases that will have the greatest impact in protecting and advancing the rights of LGBTQ people and those with HIV. While Lambda Legal is not able to take every case, the Help Desk can discuss legal issues and can provide useful information. This assistance may include follow-up discussions with Lambda Legal attorneys or contact information for an attorney or for other organizations that may directly assist.

Offers support services for persons with AIDS/HIV+ to include support groups, case management, education as well as emergency financial assistance.

Provides medical case management and help with HIV related medical, dental, and mental health visits and payments. The OHDAP (Ohio HIV Drug Assistance program) is also coordinated through our agency. This program provides financial aid for HIV related medications and some medical insurance premium payments and co-pays.

Provides publications and public health releases on AIDS clinical trials.

Provides daily hot meals to persons who are unable to provide meals for themselves. Clients may choose from various menu options including home-style entree of the day (regular and diet), deli cold lunch (regular and diet), vegetarian entrees, mechanical soft, pureed, and kosher entrees. Weekly delivery of frozen meals is available for those who may have frequent medical appointments and treatments.

Provides alcohol and other drug-free congregate living arrangements which facilitate the return to the community of individuals who are recovering from problems related to substance use disorder and who need ongoing support to sustain an abstinent lifestyle. Also has one location specifically for those who are living with AIDS/HIV.

Rental subsidies and apartments available to adults who are disabled due to HIV/AIDS. Apartments have space for family members.
