Equitas Health offers a wide array of prevention programs and interventions for all ages and groups as well as training and consultation for professionals who work with our target populations. Presentations are age appropriate and culturally specific and often provide safer sex supplies (where appropriate) and education materials such as curricula, pamphlets, brochures, fact sheets and videos. Presentations can include topics such as: - What is HIV/AIDS - Local HIV/AIDS-related programs and services - How the virus is and is not transmitted - First person stories by a Person Living with HIV/AIDS - Prevention methods and strategies - AIDS in the workplace, school or other settings - Treatment and research updates - HIV/AIDS and STD basics - Relationship between substance abuse & HIV - What happens if I am HIV infected - Self-esteem & sexual empowerment.

Services are for individuals who are HIV positive. Programs consist of: monthly social support group and congregate meal; adult and pediatric HIV clinic that provides HIV care and testing; children's program for children who are living with or affected by HIV/AIDS; housing program for HIV-positive individuals and families. Services are provided at four separate locations.

Works to meet the social and daily living needs of individuals with AIDS/HIV. Works with clients to ensure access to healthcare, doctor's visits, diagnostics, oral health care and monitoring. Focuses on primary and specialized medical care, behavioral health, HIV/STI prevention, advocacy, and community health initiatives.

Our medical providers offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) services to patients to reduce the likelihood of contracting HIV. Our providers are also trained in providing Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) an emergency-based treatment for the prevention of HIV after possible exposure has occurred. Offers a mutual support group whose members are people who have AIDS/HIV. The group provide an opportunity for participants to share information, practical tips for daily living and encouragement about issues related to the problem.

Offers individual consultation aimed at keeping persons living with AIDS/HIV abreast of the facts regarding their illness and the latest developments in combating it. Also provides information to those trying to avoid contracting AIDS/HIV.

Provides palliative pain and symptom management, care, and emotional support for persons with a life-limiting illness (life-threatening or terminally ill) and their families. Provides supportive services such as bereavement counseling, legal assistance, social work, art and music therapy, and spiritual care. Offers specialized AIDS and pediatric care teams. Respite care is provided for client's families.

Manages a drop-in center for teens and young adults, regardless of gender expression or sexual orientation, who would like a safe space to socialize with other youth. Seeks to prevent HIV and other STDs. Offers education, employment assistance, leadership opportunities, counseling, HIV testing and HIV/AIDS education programs. Provides recreation such as movies, game night, music and parties and offers programs on topics such as staying in school, preparing for college and occasionally offers tutoring.

Offers a reentry program for individuals at risk of homelessness with severe and persistent mental illnesses or HIV diagnosis exiting the prison system. Supportive services include case management, behavioral healthcare, employment, reentry support, and rental subsidies for housing.

Also provides post-exposure prophylas (PEP) for individuals who have possibly been exposed to HIV. It is only for emergency situations. Our Health & Housing Advocates can assist with access to medical care, HIV prevention & education, labs, medication, transportation, housing, access to pantries, support groups, and mental health counseling for Ohioans living with HIV.

If gender-affirming hormone treatment is part of your care plan, staff can help you coordinate your treatment with any other medications you are taking. Staff can also teach you how to give yourself injections and answer any other questions you may have.

Offers anonymous HIV testing, screening, and pre and post-test counseling. Provides medical treatment, information and referrals to community resources, and mental health services to persons infected with HIV who are not yet showing symptoms of AIDS. Can work with individuals to secure medications through patient assistance or insurance programs. Provides case management services to HIV patients. Also offers HIV prevention education for groups.

Provides health insurance premium payments up to $1,200 for eligible individuals, allowing them to continue existing health insurance policies, thereby receiving adequate prescription drug coverage.
