Provides health insurance premium payments up to $1,200 for eligible individuals, allowing them to continue existing health insurance policies, thereby receiving adequate prescription drug coverage.

Provides utility, rent and mortgage assistance. Programs are available for assistance for up to 5 months, for security deposits or 1st month's rent, and for subsidies for people who have applied for disability or are currently full-time students in a GED program, college, or other training program.

Rental subsidies and apartments available to adults who are disabled due to HIV/AIDS. Apartments have space for family members.

Provides intensive outpatient chemical dependency treatment in a 3-phase service. In Phase 1, a complete assessment is done, and counseling and group interventions begin. In Phase 2, the focus is on a relapse prevention plan, positive coping skills, responsibility and sober life management. Parenting classes are offered to clients who are required to participate as part of their plan, and are also open to other participants who have children. Phase 3 focuses on self recovery, journaling, and family roles and relationship sessions. 12-step meetings, individual and couples counseling are primary components of the larger program. Program includes education on topics like domestic violence, dealing with trauma, health screenings, referrals to needed basic services (food, housing, etc.) Child care is not available during sessions currently due to COVID 19.

Provides anonymous and confidential HIV testing. Provides comprehensive case management to people living with HIV/AIDS. Services include emergency financial assistance, referrals for medical, dental, legal, and other community resources, counseling, support groups, activities and rental and utility assistance. Outreach through Ohio AIDS/STI Hotline.

Provides medications for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and in some cases, help with applying for other medication assistance programs. Medications are ordered through a mail order pharmacy. This program should be used as a last resort.

Provides medications to treat HIV and HIV-related conditions. Also assists individuals who are HIV positive and have an HIV-related emergency need in the following areas: medical services, limited dental services and limited mental health services.

Legal services are provided during legal clinics. Referrals to community attorneys who offer pro bono or discounted services are also given.

Provides referrals to specialized medical care, legal guidance, support groups, and other supportive services for individuals living with HIV.

Offers medical, dental and vision services for low-income residents in Columbus. Also provides short-term behavioral healthcare with counseling, group counseling and case management. Recovery supportive services available for those with substance use and addiction issues. Also assists with Medicaid enrollment. Provides HIV/STI testing and other prevention services, including PrEP. Provides HIV care and case management and linkage to care.

Provides a resource library for relevant information regarding HIV and STI’s. All resources are free to distribute to the public.

Our medical providers offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) services to patients to reduce the likelihood of contracting HIV. Our providers are also trained in providing Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) an emergency-based treatment for the prevention of HIV after possible exposure has occurred. Helps those who are able to live independently in the community to locate safe and affordable housing. Offers a directory of available housing facilities, public and private. Emergency financial assistance may be available to assist with meeting rent and/or utility payments and security deposits.

Provides a support group for men who are HIV positive.

Offers anonymous HIV testing, screening, and pre and post-test counseling. Provides medical treatment, information and referrals to community resources, and mental health services to persons infected with HIV who are not yet showing symptoms of AIDS. Can work with individuals to secure medications through patient assistance or insurance programs. Provides case management services to HIV patients. Also offers HIV prevention education for groups.

Provides information and resources regarding discrimination related to sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and HIV status. Selects cases that will have the greatest impact in protecting and advancing the rights of LGBTQ people and those with HIV. While Lambda Legal is not able to take every case, the Help Desk can discuss legal issues and can provide useful information. This assistance may include follow-up discussions with Lambda Legal attorneys or contact information for an attorney or for other organizations that may directly assist.

Provides financial assistance for medical care related to PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis), assistance in completing Truvada patient assistance program application, and transportation assistance to medical care related to PrEP.

HIV prevention program that provides financial assistance to cover expenses related to PrEP medication costs, including: *Office and medical copays *Copays associated with required laboratory work *Prescription copays that are not covered by a patient assistance program *Medical services for people who are not eligible for insurance

Provides skilled home nursing, home health aides (to assist with grooming, ambulation, personal care, and bathing), in-home physical, occupational, or speech therapy, and in-home respite care for eligible adults in need of these services. Also provides homemaker assistance (meal preparation, laundry and general household management including light housekeeping.) Services also include personal care and homemaking for adults with HIV/AIDS.

Federally funded program that helps meet housing needs of individuals with HIV/AIDS. This housing program administers vouchers and other housing assitance for persons (or households with a person) who has AIDS/HIV. This program may have a wait list.

Provides daily hot meals to persons who are unable to provide meals for themselves. Clients may choose from various menu options including home-style entree of the day (regular and diet), deli cold lunch (regular and diet), vegetarian entrees, mechanical soft, pureed, and kosher entrees. Weekly delivery of frozen meals is available for those who may have frequent medical appointments and treatments.

Offers a mutual support group whose members are individuals who have AIDS/HIV. Serves a meal and provides an opportunity for participants to share information, practical tips for daily living and encouragement. Periodic outings (such as bowling, picnic, movies, and so forth) are held.

Advocates can assist with access to medical care, HIV prevention, education, labs, medication, transportation, housing, access to pantries, support groups, and mental health counseling for Ohioans living with HIV.

Provides the opportunity for those who have had HIV/AIDS for an extended period of time and who are doing relatively well to meet with others in their situation in a group that is facilitated by a professional and to get support and share concerns.
