Service And Support Administration | Allen County Board Of Developmental Disabilities

Service and Support Administration is a required service for all county boards of developemental disabilities. This service must be provided in Ohio when a person requests the service, and is found eligible. Service and Support associates (SSA's) is another name for case manager. SSA's serve the primary point of coordination, and work closely with individuals and families to identify needs and obtain supports necessary to meet those needs. SSA's then develop an Individual Service Plan (ISP) to address needs and outline services that will be provided. ISP's describe the person's needs, abilities, skills, what is important to/ for the person, any risks, and services. SSA's are responsible for monitoring the services and support authorized in the plan to ensure services are being provided.
