The training program provides a balanced, integrated practical course in plant science. Core topics that are to be part of the training in every county are oriented to Extension and the Master Gardener Program: Basic Botany; Plant Physiology; Soils and Soil Fertility; Basic Entomology; Basic Plant Pathology; Plant Disease Diagnosis; Pesticide Use and Safety; Plant Identification; Home Lawn Care; Annuals; Perennials; Trees and Shrubs; Home Vegetable Production; Home Fruit Production; Backyard Wildlife Management; Herbs; Special topics, based on local needs, may be part of the curriculum.

Program trains seven to eight dogs each cycle, which lasts seven weeks. The dogs are taught five basic commands and two certified instructor volunteers are utilized from the Richland County Dog Kennel Club.

Women's Center-Lebanon provides client services for someone facing an unplanned pregnancy. Services are free and confidential and are tailored to help the client think through all options, including abortion, adoption and parenting. Women's Center-Lebanon offers abortion alternatives including pregnancy tests and ultrasounds to determine the fetus age, viability and more. Offers free pregnancy tests and assistance, free ultrasounds, post-abortion support, and mentoring services. Also offers free material assistance, such as infant formula, diapers, infant needs, etc. Quantities and ability to earn material assistance are determined by agency.

Provides a portable crib, fitted sheets, a sleep sack, pacifier, and educational materials to eligible families. A brief follow up call will be scheduled for a month after the baby is born or after a portable has been picked up for an existing child.

Provides emergency gas bill payment assistance for those who qualify. Seeks to help clients avoid disconnection. Enbridge Gas grant will allow those who meet the income guidelines of up to 300% of Federal poverty level assistance up to $300 to stop their disconnection.

Our medical providers offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) services to patients to reduce the likelihood of contracting HIV. Our providers are also trained in providing Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) an emergency-based treatment for the prevention of HIV after possible exposure has occurred. A consortium of farmers’ markets will make more affordable, fresh, local produce available for Central Ohio residents with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. The program will match up to $25 per day at participating farmers' markets. Can be used once per visit to any of the participating farmers' markets.
