Provides an array of individualized services to caregivers and children in Cuyahoga County impacted by lead exposure. All services are voluntary and based on family needs. Assistance may include a range of short and long-term service offerings such as: cleaning kits and demonstrations on how to clean the home to prevent lead poisoning, developmental screening, nurteition information, and connections to other community lead-related resources. Follow-up is provided as needed to help guide the participants throughout the process. Goal is to reduce lead in the home and mitigate it's effects.

Offers opportunities for education and support, as well as family activities and grants. Information can be obtained via subscription to an email list, social media and website. Offers a Birthday club that sends a card and a treat to autistic individuals.

Provides services for clients to find gainful employment or training. Specific services include: counseling and planning, personal and work adjustment training, vocational training, training supplies and books, financial aid to attend post-secondary classes, artificial limbs, braces, eyeglasses, hearing aids, psychotherapy, physical therapy, wheelchairs (if needed to work), occupational supplies, placement, small business development, and follow-up on the job. Also helps disabled students who are transitioning from school to work or college after high school. Some of the above services are provided by other agencies through a referral process.

Veterans in acute suicidal crisis will be able to go to any VA or non-VA health care facility for emergency health care at no cost - including inpatient or crisis residential care for up to 30 days and outpatient care for up to 90 days. Veterans do not need to be enrolled in the VA system to use this benefit. This expansion of care will help prevent veteran suicide by guaranteeing no cost, world-class care to veterans in times of crisis. It will also increase access to acute suicide care for up to 9 million veterans who are not currently enrolled in VA.

Provides electric scooters and manual and power wheelchairs for older adults and people with disabilities. Used to transport or increase mobility for recipients who are paralyzed or otherwise unable to walk. Rents, sells, repairs, and customizes mobility equipment.

Offers a comprehensive early childhood music program for caregivers and children from birth to 5 years of age.

Alternative school for students who have encountered difficulty in a traditional classroom, and/or have discipline problems. The program works with each student and teaches them how to make lasting positive changes in their lives.

Provides information, education and resources on Juvenile Diabetes.

Offers Parkinson's rehabilitation services.

Provides formal instruction that focuses on developing a child's understanding and knowledge of basic skills such as language arts, social studies, math, and science.

Provides case management services for older adults including assessments and evaluations, advocacy, and referral services for health concerns, in-home safety, financial issues and ability of individual to take care of daily housework/activities. Assesses mental health concerns and provides in-home counseling.

Foster Grandparent is an on-going, dual-beneficiary program with a two-fold objective: 1) To help children be prepared for and do better in school and 2) to give low-income seniors an opportunity to supplement their incomes, combat isolation, and have a purposeful way to contribute to the community. Through this program, low-income, active seniors tutor at-risk youth in area schools and Head Start programs and receive a stipend for their work. Provides an opportunity for persons 55 and older to participate in one-on-one mentoring, tutoring and emotional support to children with special and exceptional needs. Locations for foster grandparents, to improve the lives of children in need, include Head Start centers, preschools, elementary schools, county boards of MRDD and private institutions. Foster grandparents receive monthly training, modest stipends, transportation reimbursements and meals during service.

Offers a variety of athletic and recreational activities/programs including: karate, scuba diving classes, fitness classes, swim classes for children ages 6 months and up, and a variety of other programs and activities.

Provides temporary and long-term housing in a drug and alcohol free environment.

Provides tutoring and educational support for youth (focuses on reading, math, and science) as well as homework help. Offers enrichment activities that focus on drug resistance, life skills, conflict resolution, as well as field trips. Also offers a Summer day camp with youth activites such as: poetry, to theater, to health and wellness; every week of camp ends with an exposure field trip to organizations across the state.

Provides roof repair or vinyl siding for eligibility and income qualified homeowners.

Provides a wide variety of therapeutic intervention including evaluation, treatment, counseling, and case management for adults who are experiencing emotional difficulties or conflicts.

Responsible for developing, inspecting, and ensuring that local streets, bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, curbs, sidewalks, and other public byways are in good repair.

Provides home delivered meals for homebound, disabled or very low income individuals.

Two card types are available: compliant cards, which meet federal REAL ID requirements for air travel, and standard cards, which are not accepted for domestic air travel as of May 7, 2025. Individuals may not hold both a state identification card and a driver’s license. Cards are valid for eight years and expire on the holder’s birthday.

Provides Emergency Crisis Intervention, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for mental-health and substance abuse issues. In case of an emergency, individuals will receive treatment regardless of their personal ability to pay.
