Working collaboration with Hocking County Sheriff's office and humane society to enforce laws and ordnances related to dogs including dogs that meet one of the following criteria: *Without provocation chased or approached a person in either a menacing fashion or an apparent attitude of attack or has attempted to bite or otherwise endanger any person. *Caused injury to any person. *Killed another dog. *Violated confinement/leash laws on multiple occasions. *Dog at large on major roadway (50+ speed limit). *Sick or injured stray dogs.

Provides general psychiatry and mental health medication services for adolescents and adults on a walk-in basis during open access hours.

Offers a customized and comprehensive drug and alcohol treatment program for adolescent clients, age 14-18, and their families during treatment and recovery. Offers adult comprehensive drug and alcohol assessments and counseling. Emphasizes family involvement through 10 week multi-family groups and 12 week aftercare (relapse prevention) group.

Clients at the Mission receive food, clothing, and shelter under the conditions of the Mission policy. Opportunities for personal improvement in basic education, spiritual life counseling (upon request) and case management services are available to all men and women in our care. A mandatory admission and intake process to properly track clients, providing consistency in services rendered in-house and in the community. Zero tolerance for substance abuse is maintained throughout the Mission. All clients are required to declare all medications during admission. Men’s department dorms are divided into the transient dorm, a case management dorm and the Transformers Dorm (a spiritual life dorm for those men in our spiritual life programs). Women & Family Care dorms are divided into the Observation Area, Single Female Dorm (4 rooms with 18 beds) and the Family Dorm (14 rooms). Entry into the dorms is based upon specific requirements based upon Mission policy.

St. Andrew's Anglican Church offers a Blessing Box in the parking lot with non-perishable food and personal grooming items. Items available depend on donations.

Provides a listing of current public housing facilities that offer safe, decent, sanitary and affordable housing to low-to-moderate income families and persons with disabilities.

Provides emergency financial assistance. Very limited funds may be available for electric, water, and heating fuel bill payments, prescriptions, work clothing, birth certificates, rent assistance, and shoes. May also help with small propane tank refills for cooking purposes.

Provides an education program for loved ones or family members of individuals with mental illness. Classes provide information on the biology of the brain, latest research findings, medications, self care, treatment, coping skills, and resources available for advocacy. Instructors are trained family members.

The QRT team will connect with individuals who have experienced an overdose, illicit drug event, or are struggling with addiction, and their family to provide information, assist with treatment options, and referral. Education on the use of Narcan, a prescribed opiate overdose reversal medication, will be given and a free Narcan kit will be provided.

Provides a variety of recreational facilities and activities. Facilities includes public golf courses, marinas, swimming areas and lakes, stables, a toboggan run, sledding hills, hiking trails and picnic areas. Activities include golf, swimming, boating, sledding, cross country skiing, fishing/ice fishing, tobogganing and hiking. Also provides a variety of programming focused on developing necessary skills for safe activities while camping or in the outdoors. Classes are available for all skill levels. Offerings include: camp cooking, first aid, boating and canoeing skills, bicycle maintenance, fishing techniques, backpacking, and map and compass basics.

Provides a neighborhood blockwatch program.

Provides reductions in property taxes for eligible seniors and disabled homeowners in the county. Amount of reduction is calculated by exempting the first $25,000 of value on the property in question. Will answer questions and assist with completing forms regarding the reduction. Also offers one-day community events to explain qualifications and to help with completing applications.

24/7 suicide prevention crisis support for LGBTQ+ young people.

An initiative for youth in the county; implement programs in their schools and community organizations that will work toward reducing substance abuse among the teen population. Teams of students from different school plan activities in their own schools and communities to provide knowledge and awareness.

Responds to maintenance issues on Cuyahoga Metroplitan Housing Authority public housing properties.

Provides a chamber orchestra which performs free concerts. Concerts Include a number of classical music compositions and features exhibits of local art work.

Responsible for enforcing all laws and ordinances; preventing crime; investigating criminal activity; apprehending, arresting and detaining suspects; presenting evidence; regulating traffic; investigating traffic accidents and engaging in other activities that protect lives and property and preserve peace in the community.

Provides the following services: aptitude and proficiency testing, employment counseling, job referral, and national job bank.

Seeks volunteers to raise public awareness of elder abuse and crimes against older adults. Volunteers will assist staff to educate the community and raise awareness about crimes against the elderly. Volunteers will also have a role in assisting the elders with recovering from the crime. Ongoing training provided. Volunteers receive an annual appreciation event (awards dinner). Experience may be used as job reference.

Offers a wide variety of free computer classes for beginner, intermediate. and advanced computer users. Class topics include Microsoft Office programs, basic computer maintenance, digital cameras, the Internet, email basics, basic web design, blogging, and many others.

Offers supervised locations with volunteer monitors for non-custodial parents to visit with their children.
