Targeted to family members and other caregivers of individuals with mental illnesses. NOT to those suffering with mental illness themselves. No residency restrictions.
Classes run in 8-week sessions. Phone for information on when next classes begin.

Phone office M-F 9:00am-5:00pm to provide name, address, and phone number where caller can be reached during the day and evening. Office staff will register callers for an upcoming class or put them on a waiting list to be notified when a class will be starting in the area.

Description

Provides an education program for loved ones or family members of individuals with mental illness. Classes provide information on the biology of the brain, latest research findings, medications, self care, treatment, coping skills, and resources available for advocacy. Instructors are trained family members.
