Provides law enforcement for Richland County in several different Bureaus/Sections. The Uniform Bureau is responsible for enforcing the criminal and traffic laws of the State of Ohio. Allied Special Operation Response Team (ASORT), being a highly-trained group of officers from different departments in Richland County, works as a team to neutralize a threat (hostage/barricaded subjects, raids, rescues, hazardous search warrants, security for dignitaries, suicides, stakeouts, etc.). The Major Crimes Section follows up on potentially long term felony investigations. There is also a K-9 Unit, Dive Team, Mounted Unit and Specials Unit.
