The department offers free lunch in the summer. Meals are served to anyone between the ages of 1–18. Columbus Recreation and Parks Department offers Free Mobile Produce Markets throughout the year. Produce is loaded directly into trunk or car. Families in need can call 866-3-HUNGRY (Español: 877-8-HAMBRE) or text 914-342-7744 with a question that contains a keyword such as “food,” “summer,” “meals,” etc. and receive a text back that will show free meal sites closest to them.

Provides financial assistance for family members who are serving as primary caregivers for veterans with a serious illness or disability. Eligible caregivers may receive respite care, assistance with medical care-related travel expenses, caregiver education and training, and other supportive services.

Provides comprehensive counseling support from a licensed social worker to clients and families facing diabetes. The social worker assists clients in assessing their needs and identifying resources to manage the demand of diabetes. All case management services are free of charge.

Provides legal assistance that helps individuals who have been convicted of certain misdemeanors or felonies file a petition for a Certificate of Qualification for Employment (CQE). This assists in regaining the civil rights regarding employment they lost as a consequence of the conviction. CQEs can be used to obtain employment or an occupational license.

Establishes and enforces zoning regulations which classify land within the Village for specific agricultural, residential, commercial, or industrial uses. Hears appeals regarding zoning changes.

Accepts new and gently-used clothing for all ages. Also accepts personal hygiene items.

Provides centralized access to services and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities age three and older. Services include but are not limited to: socialization opportunities, early childhood development, special education, workforce development, assistance obtaining a driver's license, housing opportunities, and limited financial assistance for disability related needs.

Offers therapeutic sessions in which the therapist works with adolescents/youth to help them resolve their mental, emotional or social problems.
