Eligibility
Open to caregivers of veterans who need at least 6 months of continuous, in-person personal care services. Veterans being cared for must be enrolled in VA health care. They must also have been discharged from the U.S. military with a VA disability rating of 70% or higher.
Caregivers must either be:
-a spouse, child, parent, stepfamily member, or extended family member of the veteran, or
-live full time with the Veteran, or be willing to live full time with the veteran if designated as a family caregiver
Required documents
Proof of income,Other documents (Telephone number, and date of birth for the veteran and each family caregiver applicant),Tax preparation documents (Tax identification number for veteran if no social security number. For online applications only.),Completed application/registration form,Social security card (For veteran.),Proof of residence (For the veteran and each family caregiver applicant.)

Provides financial assistance for family members who are serving as primary caregivers for veterans with a serious illness or disability.
