Student Emergency Fund (MYERS EMERGENCY FUND) | Cuyahoga Community College

Shanti Farms Yard Corps | Shanti Community Farms

Offers a program designed to educate and train both immigrant and neighborhood youth in landscape maintenance. Projects include mowing, weeding, bush/tree trimming of vacant (city/county-owned) and private lots. Garden prep, fences, planters and pergola building are also included. Also entrepreneurial skills and extra spending money via stipends is provided. Youth participants will also participate in math, writing and reading skills tutoring. For most enrolled students in the Yard Corps program, orientation, ongoing training and Ohio Learning Standards study time with professional tutors will be offered.
