Student Emergency Fund (MYERS EMERGENCY FUND) | Cuyahoga Community College

Students attending Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) that are enrolled in the current and/or upcoming semester (2025-2026 School year). Students have to have completed their FAFSA (unless they are an International student, enrolled in DACA or apart of a workforce program). Student MUST be facing a qualified financial hardship including, but not limited to: *Technology and equipment needs * Books and supplies * Child-care related emergencies * Health emergency expenses not covered by insurance * Paying for housing/rent when unusual circumstances arise * Transportation-related emergencies (non-routine car repairs) * Unexpected loss of income * Emergency food assistance (Loss of SNAP benefits)
M-Th: 8:30am - 5:00pm, Friday: 9:30am - 5:00pm.

Students will have to access their "My Tri-C Space" and enter their "Student Dashboard". Their student dashboard will have a link to their financial aid dashboard. Within the financial aid dashboard there will be an option (usually located in the first box) labeled, "Myers Emergency Fund Application". Students must fill out the application, and once completed will get an email of completion. Processing and approval or denial will take up to 5 business days. Once funds are approved, direct deposit should take no more than 3 business days to be disbursed. For tuition assistance, the funds will be applied to their account for tuition. For all other expenses, the funds will be applied to their Tri-C account to be refunded to them via their normal refund method (Direct deposit, check, school card). If students do not see the "Myers Emergency Fund Application", it may be too late to submit for that semester. Students must change the "AID YEAR" in order to apply for assistance for the up and coming semesters fund. * Students can apply ONCE PER AWARD YEAR. * Students can request up to $500.

Provides financial assistance up to $500 to temporarily help students overcome unforeseen financial challenges that would affect their ability to continue in their studies. Funds can be used for assistance such as, but not limited to: child care, health related emergencies, loss of SNAP benefits, transportation emergencies, books, tuition, unexpected loss of income, etc.
