Provides gas vouchers, rides, or bus fare for recipients who have reached their ride limit through their Medicaid HMO.

Handles complaints and investigates issues dealing with suspected Medicaid fraud by providers and possible neglect or abuse of residents of long term care facilities in Ohio. Will prosecute if criminal action is found. Complaints addressed include, but not limited to, suspected Medicaid fraud by providers (billing for services not performed, over billing, kickbacks etc.) and possible neglect or abuse of residents of a long term care facility (such as nursing homes, group homes, MR/DD facilities, and hospital long term care units). Does not represent the person making the complaint as a private attorney would.

Provides transportation to non medical services. Members may access up to 15 round trip or 30 one-way trips (less than 30 miles from the member’s home) including trips to the grocery store, food pantries, WIC and SNAP appointments, County Dept. of Job and Family Services redeterminations, childbirth classes, and more.

Provides a managed health care insurance plan that provides participants with a network of health providers that participants agree to use for all needed health services including doctors, hospitals and pharmacies. Plan may offer incentives and additional services to increase participants' use of preventive health care. Offers services such as primary care visits, check-ups, immunizations, prescription drug benefits, health education, physicals, family planning, maternity and prenatal care, emergency and urgent care, mental health services, substance use disorder services, vision and dental care, chiropractic care, podiatry, speech and hearing, medical equipment, diagnostic tests, and outpatient hospital care. Addresses customer concerns with billing and issues concerning covered services. Enhanced coverage of health services (called Healthchek) for those age 20 or younger (including prenatal and well baby care) is also provided to members.Organization provides the opportunity to file a complaint against providers or the plan.

Provides a program to assist eligible individuals who are ready to quit smoking. Participants may receive one-on-one counseling, educational materials, referral to a telephone quitline and stop-smoking aids such as nicotine replacement in the form of gum, the patch, nasal spray, lozenge, inhaler, Varenicline, and Bupropion.

Provides advice and representation concerning denial, reduction, termination, and/or overpayment of county, state, and/or federal public benefits such as OWF (Ohio Works First); Disability Medical Assistance (DMA); Medicaid; Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PRC); Healthy Start; Food Stamps; Social Security; Medicare; Supplemental Security Income (SSI); and other public benefit programs including Unemployment Compensation benefits.

Provides a 24 hour mental health and substance use disorder crisis line.

Provides assistance with transportation for food resources: to pantries and and grocery store for curb side pick-up. NOTE: these trips will count toward the trip maximum of 15 round trip or 30 one-way trips for medical services.

Provides an allowance of $100 that enables eligible individuals to purchase over-the-counter medical supplies.

In Summit County, NET is provided through contracted transportation service providers including United Disability Services, METRO Transit, Emmanuel Ventures, and City Yellow Cab.

Provides enrollment counseling for MyCare Ohio, Ohio's Integrated Care Delivery System (ICDS) administered by the Ohio Dept of Medicaid. MyCare Ohio is a managed care plan selected by the state of Ohio to coordinate the physical, behavioral and long-term care services for individuals who are eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare. Enrollment is mandatory for people who are 18 or older, reside in Ohio and currently receive services from both Medicaid and Medicare.

Provides bicycles, bike classes, bike repair, and essential bicycling equipment such as helmets, locks, and lights for eligible individuals.

Offers a program that pays the cost of care for eligible Medicaid individuals in an Ohio Department on Aging approved assisted living facility.

Provides non-emergency trips to and from Medicaid covered appointments and services.

Provides meals to plan participants who have been recently discharged from the hospital and who have conditions such as food insecurity and key, chronic medical conditions, including congestive heart failure (CHF), cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, HIV/AIDS, and end stage renal disease (ESRD), and pregnant and postpartum members with gestational diabetes.

Provides assistance with transportation to food resources. Covers up to 15 round trip or 30 one-way trips to food pantries and trips to pick up groceries from stores where members have placed an order. The number of trips is shared with medical transportation. Benefits also include non-medical trips to county job and family service redeterminations, and WIC appointments.

Provides services to enhance education experiences for eligible individuals. Service includes a free laptop computer and assistance with obtaining professional certificates that may expand careers.

Evaluates health care cases related to Medicaid or Medicare (denials, terminations)and delays in processing applications; applicants waiver services (in-home health supports, nursing, or aide services) have been reduced, denied or terminated; overpayments where collection of overpayment creates a risk that other benefits will be taken to collect the overpayment; problems with Medicaid/Medicare for currently or formerly incarcerated individuals.
