Provides advice and representation concerning denial, reduction, termination, and/or overpayment of county, state, and/or federal public benefits such as OWF (Ohio Works First); Disability Medical Assistance (DMA); Medicaid; Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PRC); Healthy Start; Food Stamps; Social Security; Medicare; Supplemental Security Income (SSI); and other public benefit programs including Unemployment Compensation benefits.

Eligibility
Does not help with initial application process. Must have a household income less than 125% of the poverty level and be a United States citizen (with some exceptions concerning Food Stamps or Medicaid applications for the children of undocumented immigrants). Will consider expenses such as childcare, transportation, and health care as well as certain assets when determining financial eligibility for service. Income and asset limits do not apply to persons age 60 or older. Not all eligible cases can be taken. Provides services to eligible persons living in or having legal issues within Belmont, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, and Noble counties.
