Partners with the City of Akron to provide critical home repairs including roofing, electrical, furnace, plumbing, gutters, porch, steps, and disability access. No funds are provided to the homeowner in cash as reimbursement for repairs already completed.

Offers older adults programming including group exercise classes and aquatic programs that concentrate on mobility and flexibility, dance programs, educational programs, social events, day and overnight trips and volunteer activities.

Offers a tax reduction program which provides Caroll County homeowners with relief on a portion of their home value. With homestead, eligible homeowners receive an exemption on a portion of appraised value from taxation for a single family home. Eligible military Veterans receive an additional exemption. Will answer questions and assist with completing forms regarding the reduction.

Offers a variety of in-home supportive services for eligible older adults. Services available are dependent upon individual need, but may include personal care, housekeeping, mobility modifications, transportation, care management, home-delivered meals, etc.

Provides the Aging and Disability Resource Network, a specialized information and referral service for older adults, caregivers and other professionals.
