Refers individuals with aging and/or disability related issues to appropriate available services in the community to ensure that individuals' needs are fully met. Helps individuals find help for housing, transportation, in-home care, long-term care, and other health and wellness services including benefits screening. Helps individuals apply and be assessed for services such as PASSPORT and the Assisted Living Waiver.

Provides information and referral; home visits; assistance in completing Golden Buckeye, PIP, HEAP, FMHA grants, Ohio Energy Credits (OEC), Homestead Reduction Act, voter registration, etc; delivers food baskets; telephone reassurance; outreach. Noon lunch Monday, Wednesday, Friday followed by bingo. Social services for seniors, home modification, chore service referrals.

Outreach services provide older adults with the assistance needed to access the human services system and provide linkage between client and needed services. This service includes management of a home delivered meal program, telassurance, public benefits assistance, housing placement assistance, friendly visiting, and assessments

Individuals 60 and over may qualify for the assistance of a payee to help with paying bills and budgeting if this will help the individual stay in their own home.

28 Two bedroom units. 3 disability assessable units. Age 55 and over only. Gas, trash, water, and sewer are included in the rent. Pets are allowed (size and number restricted) with a $200 pet fee per pet. Accepts Metro Section 8 vouchers. Tax Credit subsidy offered with income eligibility.

Provides 1-bedroom suites, appliances, individual air conditioning and heating, a craft room, on site laundry, and other amenities. All utilities are included except telephone and cable.

Offers interior home repairs and accessibility modifications designed to increase senior homeowner's ability to live independently as they age. Projects range from addressing accessibility issues to installing grab bars to replacing lower-threshold showers.

Offers privately owned rental housing that is made available to low-income older adults at a reduced rate. Has 142 1-bedroom units and eight (8) 2-bedroom units. Provides on-site mail and smoke-free rooms.

Types of home repairs include repairs for furnaces, leaking roofs, wheel chair ramps, bathroom accessibility modifications, and other necessary home repairs.

Offers homebound seniors meals in their homes. A combination of hot and shelf meals are provided.

Finds ways to meet members' needs through organized social and educational events, volunteer assistance, referral to service providers, and opportunities for engagement within the Clintonville-Beechwold Neighborhood. This program includes weekly social opportunities, with outings suggested by the members. This program also includes a wide range of volunteer services including transportaiton to medical appointments, the grocery store or social outings, snow removal, technology assistance, and more.

Provides door-to-door transportation for non-emergency medical appointments, grocery shopping and other errands to older adults and those who are unable to drive due to a disability. NOTE: Wheelchair vans are not available.

Offers assessments and evaluation by USS trained staff for services. Programs at United Senior Services are agencies and support programs in the community.
