Offers free tax preparation assistance and electronic filing for low- to moderate-income households. Specially trained volunteers from the AARP prepare basic returns to assist older adults.

Offers general health evaluations and examinations. Services included screening tests, nutrition education, counseling and health and fitness education.

Provides health care coverage consisting of a primary and acute care benefit package and long-term care if a person has the required level of care need. Covered services may include prescription drugs, home care, doctor visits, hospital care, laboratory and x-rays, medical equipment and supplies, dental care, transportation, mental health, vision services, long-term care, alcohol and drug rehabilitation and other services.

Multipurpose center with a wide variety of services and activities that are needed by and of interest to Seniors.

Facilitates access to services, programs, and benefits for seniors and caregivers. Provides insurance counseling to Medicare and Medicaid.

Offers a tax reduction program which provides Jefferson County homeowners with relief on a portion of their home value. With homestead, eligible homeowners receive an exemption on a portion of appraised value from taxation for a single family home. Eligible military Veterans receive an additional exemption. Will answer questions and assist with completing forms regarding the reduction.

Offers Customer Assistance Program (CAP) for low-income seniors. Eligible seniors receive a 25% discount on their monthly sewer bill.

Manages a variety of nutritious home delivered meal programs under the Meals on Wheels umbrella. Meals are available in Clark County. Options include daily or weekly delivery; delivered hot, chilled or frozen lunch only or dinner, free or fee based, all depending on individual circumstance and individual preferences. A benefit of daily delivery is USS trained drivers will not leave food outside. Instead making certain to interact with the client at every delivery.

Information and referral for services assisting older adults, including programs available through national, state and local resources.

Door to door transportation is available by van to medical appointments and essential errands for Clark County residents age 60 and better. Appointments fill quickly. Donations are gratefully accepted, participation will not be denied for inability to pay.

Provides evening hot meals. Meals may be eaten on-site or taken to go. Diabetic and gluten free options are available upon request.

In-home client assessments link individuals with appropriate long-term services; services are an alternative to nursing home placement which include but are not limited to adult day care, home-delivered meals, chore service, homemaker, minor home modifications, medical transportation, personal care, social work counseling, nutritional counseling, emergency response, independent living assistance, medical supplies and medical equipment.

Outreach services provide older adults with the assistance needed to access the human services system and provide linkage between client and needed services. This service includes management of a home delivered meal program, telassurance, public benefits assistance, housing placement assistance, friendly visiting, and assessments

Provides eligible older adults with financial assistance to help them obtain goods and services that they cannot otherwise afford. Assistance is capped at $300 per wish and generally covers expenses such as new personal emergency response systems, auto or household repairs, or recreational activities (trips with grandchildren, movies, day trips with senior groups). - Grant cannot be used for ongoing expenses such as rent, utilities, prescriptions, or food.

Provides in-home services including skilled nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers and home health aides.

Provides linkage to social service agencies, home health care services, support groups, telephone reassurance and so forth. The purpose of these services is to be a source of information for older adults and their families and to facilitate older adults with maintaining independence.

Provides rental housing for older adults with limited income.

Offers public consultations and speakers on topics related to older adults. Produces free publications on area resources for older adults. Offers Franklin County Office on Aging Day with the Columbus Clippers.

Provides in-home visits by physicans and advance practice nurses for those who need medically necessary care. Offered through a multi-disciplinary process to ensure that symptom management addresses the individual in a holistic manner.

Offers general health evaluations and examinations. Services included screening tests, nutrition education, counseling and health and fitness education.

Refers individuals with aging and/or disability related issues to appropriate available services in the community to ensure that individuals' needs are fully met. Helps individuals find help for in-home assistance, housing, transportation, long-term care and other health and wellness services.

Offers social activities and services for seniors, incuding bingo, a meal on Tue and Thu, and exercise classes. Provides Golden Buckeye Card applications. Available for rentals on weekends and evenings.
