Administers home and community-based supports for older adults and those with disabilities. Programs include but are not limited to: PASSPORT, Assisted living Medicaid waivers, long term care consultations, caregiver support services, regional long term care ombudsman, home repair, healthy lifestyles and wellness programs, aging and disability resource center, Medicare Part D enrollment assistance. Additional services may include: legal assistance, case management, transportation, personal care, housekeeping, adult day care, home delivered meals, emergency response systems, and other community resources.

Substate organizations authorized under the Older Americans Act of 1965 to develop a comprehensive, coordinated system of community-based services for older adults within their planning and service area. State Units on Aging designate, provide federal and state funding, and monitor operations of AAAs. Eight states and the District of Columbia do not have AAAs and, therefore, serve the roles of both state and area agency. AAA's responsibilities include planning; development of local funding resources; and contracting with local service provider organizations to provide authorized services which include information and referral/assistance, outreach, case/care management, escort, transportation, homemaker/chore, personal care, home repair and rehabilitation, home delivered meals, congregate meals, adult day care, elder abuse prevention, nursing home ombudsman, legal assistance, employment and training, health promotion and disease prevention and senior centers as well as services that support caregivers including respite care, counseling and education programs. AAAs may provide a number of other services in situations where local service provider options are limited.
The Area Agency on Aging offers options and resources to seniors and their caregivers. The Area Agency on Aging has been designated by the State of Ohio to be a contact agency for federal and state aging programs.

Provides coordination of and information about various programs and services available to older and/or disabled adults. Focus areas include discount and benefit programs, housing, and home health and medical care options.
Refers individuals with aging- and/or disability-related issues to appropriate available services in the community to ensure that individuals' needs are fully met. Helps individuals find help for housing, transportation, in-home care, long-term care, and other health and wellness services including benefits screening. Helps individuals apply and be assessed for services such as PASSPORT and the Assisted Living Waiver.

AAA3 offers meals, home repairs and weatherization, in-home health care, free long-term care consultations, and free publications, which are available on the website.
Serves as clearinghouse for information, resources, and assistance for adults ages 60 and over, who live in Greene County and their families. Also provides support to help keep seniors in their own or family member's home, which is arranged through care managers.

Assists people over 60 or anyone who is disabled to stay independent and in their homes. Has information about group homes & nursing homes, the law regarding the elderly & disabled especially regarding discrimination. May also be able to assist with Medicare/Medicaid issues.

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a community service and work based training program for older workers. Authorized by the Older Americans Act, the program provides subsidized, service-based training for low-income persons 55 or older who are unemployed and have poor employment prospects. Participants have access to both SCSEP services and other employment assistance through One-Stop Career Centers.
