The Behavioral Health Crisis Care Center is a 10 bed, walk-in, voluntary program that can serve people who are in mental health and/or substance use crisis. Note: Use Door One. Individuals can walk-in anytime to get an initial assessment. After the initial assessment is complete, the client then may be referred to other local agencies for therapeutic treatment or follow up services as appropriate.
Provides a wide range of programs for children who are victims of abuse or other acts of violence. Services include the following: forensic interviews at a child-friendly site where professionals conduct joint investigative interviews with child victims, crisis counseling and case management for victims and non-offending family members (available to children and families at all stages of the investigation and prosecution process). The program helps children and families cope and heal emotionally, animal-assisted therapy support for victims of violence. Provides practical information and support to the children and family about the investigation and court process, safety education that teaches young children about safe and unsafe touches and ways to seek help from trusted adults, and also provides on-site medical exams.

CRBHS offers crisis support as an intervention to help individuals respond to overwhelming events and experiences. Crisis support is focused on minimizing the stress of the event and assuring that safety and other basic needs are appropriately met. In addition to providing support, therapists also help clients and families to develop coping skills to deal with the immediate crisis. This may involve helping the client to explore alternative solutions to the problem, identifying and implementing stress reduction techniques, and encouraging positive thinking. This process is not just about teaching these skills to he client, it is also about encouraging the client to make a commitment to continue utilizing these skills in the future.

Provides one-on-one crisis intervention sessions to assist survivors in coping with the immediate after-effects of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking.

Provides a modern, clean, and therapeutic environment that provides voluntary clients with stabilization. This home-like setting could include administration of psychiatric medications as well as individualized counseling, recreation therapy, peer support, and group therapy. The CSU along with all other Crisis Care services can be used in conjunction with step down services.
