The Family Support Services program provides supports, services, and assistance to enable individuals to care for their family member with disabilities at home and to enhance their quality of life. Services provided include: - Respite care - Adaptive equipment - Special diets - Home modifications - Counseling - Education - Training sessions and/or materials - Other services individualized to each family’s needs.
Provides financial assistance for family members who are serving as primary caregivers for veterans with a serious illness or disability. Eligible caregivers may receive respite care, assistance with medical care-related travel expenses, caregiver education and training, and other supportive services.
Providing Benefits Screening, CHIP Programs, Family Caregiver Subsidies, Medicaid Applications, Medicaid Applications for Adults and Disabilities and Health Conditions, Medicaid Applications for Pregnant Women assisting Ohio residents in applying for benefits such as food stamps and in filing income tax returns and FAFSA applications

The Family Support Services program provides supports, services, and assistance to enable individuals to care for their family member with disabilities at home and to enhance their quality of life. Provides financial assistance for family members or other persons who are serving as primary caregivers for an individual with a developmental disability. Assistance may be used to reimburse the cost of purchasing eligible items and services that help alleviate family need, such as adaptive equipment, dietary supplies, diapers, camps, home modification, respite care, etc.
Grants available for those who qualify to assist their caregiver. Grant may be used for respite services to provide relief from the stress of caregiving, such as in-home respite, adult day care, temporary overnight respite and homemaker and personal care assistance.
Assists families in meeting the unique needs of an individual with a disability. Families are reimbursed for certain approved expenses necessary to take care of the family member in their home. Family Resources reimburses the costs of temporary care (respite), home modifications, special equipment, special diet, and training or counseling for families. Family Resources is flexible to support families in meeting their unique needs. The amount of the expense that is reimbursed is based on the availability of funds. Families must enroll yearly. An individual does not need to be enrolled with the County Board of Developmental Disabilities to receive Family Resources but they do need to be eligible for services by meeting all eligibility requirements.
Family Support Services (FSS) assists families by enabling them to care for their family member with disabilities at home. FSS may include respite care, adaptive equipment and/or minor home modifications to accommodate the family member with a disability.
