Foster Grandparent Program
Offers a network of local, state, and national service programs that connects more than 200,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet the country’s critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment. AmeriCorps members serve with nonprofits, public agencies, and faith-based and community organizations.
Provides AmeriCorps members an opportunity to provide community service in Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) schools as tutors, mentors and role models. Goal is to keep Cleveland students in school and on track to graduate. Participants receive a bi-weekly stipend, and at the end of their service receive scholarship funds which can be used only for higher education.
Provides meaningful volunteer opportunities for men and women, age 55 and older. The program seeks to capture the experience, knowledge and skills that are offered by senior Americans, in order to fill specific community needs.
Licenced social workers provide ongoing in-home needs assessment, care planning, and consultation to help vulnerable seniors maintain their independence through Senior Supportive Services. Assistance is provided for financial management, medical appointments, insurance, transportation, and housing needs, and by linkage to other community services.

Foster Grandparent Program
The Foster Grandparents Program is an AmeriCorps Senior Program that places older adults in schools and early childhood centers to support youth through mentoring and tutoring. Foster grandparents receive a modest stipend, paid training, mileage reimbursement, personal paid time, and supplemental insurance.
A national service program offering local volunteer opportunities to people age 55 and over. Some benefits of becoming a volunteer include mileage reimbursement, supplemental health and automobile insurance, and ongoing recognition.

Provides part-time opportunities for older adults to serve as mentors and tutors for children in Head Start programs. Foster grandparents receive a tax-free monetary stipend for their work, bus passes for service days, and free meals on service days.

Foster Grandparent Program
Senior Companion Program places an able adult (55+) with an older or disabled adult living in their home or apartment who could use someone to help with day to day activities. These may include errands, light housework, small meal preparation, or simply companionship. As a SCP volunteer you must be income eligible to participate. You will receive a small hourly stipend, mileage reimbursement, supplemental accident insurance, and paid time off. You must serve between 15-40 hours a week, summit to a background check, and a physical assessment. As a SCP client there are no financial barriers, just the need for companionship. A compatible SCP volunteer will be placed with the client once the needs are determined.
Pairs volunteer companions with older adults. Companions provide non-medical services such as socialization and assistance with daily activities, like buying groceries, preparing meals, and cleaning.
Providing information, service programs and volunteer opportunities; system advocacy for children, legal issues and other related issues, CASA recruits, trains and supervises concerned community members to serve Butler County Juvenile Court as Court Appointed Special Advocate Volunteers
