Senior Companion Program places an able adult (55+) with an older or disabled adult living in their home or apartment who could use someone to help with day to day activities. These may include errands, light housework, small meal preparation, or simply companionship.
As a SCP volunteer you must be income eligible to participate. You will receive a small hourly stipend, mileage reimbursement, supplemental accident insurance, and paid time off. You must serve between 15-40 hours a week, summit to a background check, and a physical assessment. As a SCP client there are no financial barriers, just the need for companionship. A compatible SCP volunteer will be placed with the client once the needs are determined.
