CITY YEAR - CLEVELAND | CITY YEAR - CLEVELAND

Provides AmeriCorps members an opportunity to provide community service in Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) schools as tutors, mentors and role models. Goal is to keep Cleveland students in school and on track to graduate. Participants receive a bi-weekly stipend, and at the end of their service receive scholarship funds which can be used only for higher education.

Hours

Office hours are M-F: 8:00am-5:30pm. Work in the schools is generally 7:00am-5:00pm.

Fee

None. Participants receive a bi-weekly stipend during their term of service, and also receive full uniforms suited to the local weather.

Eligibility

Open to US citizens ages 18 through 25 who has at least earned a high school diploma or a GED.
