Travel Training | Cota

COTA Travel Training is a free, personal service that helps teaches how to ride the bus independently and confidently. Get tips on how to: plan a trip using the easiest and safest route, reach specific destinations, read and understand route maps and schedules, locate and transfer to other buses, board the bus with a mobility device, move wheelchair or scooter onto the bus safely, travel to and from bus stops, recognize bus numbers, bus stops and landmarks, pay fares and purchase passes, board and exit the bus safely, know where and how to safely cross the street and get service information.

Travel Training For Older Adults/People With Disabilities | Transit Authority Of Northern Kentucky

Offers a training program that teaches participants how to ride TANK's regular fixed-route system safely and independently. One-on-one trip training, individual orientation, and group transit orientation can be provided. Trainers may provide information about reading route maps and schedules, understanding fare structure, transferring to other buses, and other safety skills.

Travel Training - Senior/Disabled | Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority

Provides one-on-one and group travel training to help seniors and individuals with disabilities navigate Cuyahoga County's public transit system. Offers instruction on reading and understanding route maps, paying fares, purchasing tickets, and getting on and off the bus/train safely. Also offers other accessibility instruction as well throughout the program.

Independent Living Services | Linking Employment, Abilities And Potential

Provides independent living skills assessment and training. Helps clients develop and achieve their personal and vocational goals. Also offers individual and group training on work and life issues for those with disabilities by peers with disabilities. Covers topics such as stress management, setting goals, understanding relationships, accessing community resources, self-advocacy, preparing for work, selecting appropriate attire for work, social skills in the workplace, and handling work and home responsibilities. Will provide short-term instruction on how to travel safely and independently to and from a regularly visited destination using public transportation.
