TRAVEL TRAINING - SENIOR/DISABLED | GREATER CLEVELAND REGIONAL TRANSIT AUTHORITY

Provides one-on-one and group travel training to help seniors and individuals with disabilities navigate Cuyahoga County's public transit system. Offers instruction on reading and understanding route maps, paying fares, purchasing tickets, and getting on and off the bus/train safely. Also offers other accessibility instruction as well throughout the program.

Application process

Phone for information or visit website to access the referral form. After referral forms are submitted to the Travel Training Department; a trainer will contact applicants to schedule an appointment. Trainers can further assist with the application process and application documents.

Fee

Free for program; Transportation fees are fixed. Discounted aid for seniors is available through paratransit.

Eligibility

Cuyahoga county disabled residents up to age 65; Cuyahoga county seniors ages 65 and older.

Paratransit service available in most areas of Cuyahoga County. Primarily services Cuyahoga County, but offers some connections to other counties. Mobility Specialists are also available off site at the Cuyahoga County Employment and Family Services Neighborhood Family Service Centers.
