INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES | LINKING EMPLOYMENT, ABILITIES AND POTENTIAL
Provides independent living skills assessment and training. Helps clients develop and achieve their personal and vocational goals. Also offers individual and group training on work and life issues for those with disabilities by peers with disabilities. Covers topics such as stress management, setting goals, understanding relationships, accessing community resources, self-advocacy, preparing for work, selecting appropriate attire for work, social skills in the workplace, and handling work and home responsibilities. Will provide short-term instruction on how to travel safely and independently to and from a regularly visited destination using public transportation.
