Provides reimbursement for some expenses incurred by Darke County residents who have a confirmed cancer diagnosis. Reimbursement of 25 cents/mile (up to $200) per month may be provided for mileage to and from cancer-related appointments (not including trips to the pharmacy), up to $100/month for prescription expense assistance, and up to $75/month for assistance with the purchase of medical supplies. Program participants are eligible for services up to 5 years unless in active treatment. Does not cover basic living expenses such as rent, mortgages, utility payments or food. Executive Director determines whether mileage is to be reimbursed as it links to the cancer diagnosis.
