Services offered include vision care education, free eye examinations and free eyeglasses, and financial resources for ophthalmological care. Must meet the qualification process. Note: Program assists with eyeglasses but not with contact lenses.

Assists community organizations and individuals in need. Funds are split between a number of charitable causes and individual amounts may not be large. The organization assists with medical expenses, holiday items, emergency food, disaster response funds, and gift cards. NOTE: Issuing funds may take time as members may wish to discuss disbursement at meeting.

Program provides a preventative health care program that assists individuals in obtaining dental, vision, and comprehensive health screening services.

Ensures that every senior has access to medical eye care and promotes annual, dilated eye exams. Eligible applicants receive a comprehensive, medical eye exam and up to one year of treatment at no out-of-pocket cost for any disease diagnosed during the initial exam.

Provides financial assistance to low-income active United States military personnel (all branches of service) currently deployed overseas and to low-income post 9/11 Veterans with a wound, illness or injury received in the line of duty (LOD). Accepted reasons for financial assistance include mortgage assistance, rent assistance, home repairs, utility assistance, auto repairs, auto payments, travel and transportation, moving assistance, essential home items (mattresses and box springs and appliances such as washer, dryer, refrigerator, and stove), medical expense assistance, emergency dental assistance, critical baby items, and other financial assistance. Offers emergency financial assistance for critical baby items, food, and vision care to active duty service member with rank of rank E1-E6 with DEERS-eligible dependents. Note: Does NOT provide financial assistance for credit card debt or personal loans and does NOT assist with down payments for vehicles or homes.

Provides free glaucoma educational materials and facilitates access to glaucoma eye exams. Eligible applicants receive a glaucoma eye exam and the initiation of treatment, if deemed necessary.

Provides one time or infrequent services purchased for clients who are determined to be eligible when all other existing resources fall short. Example: Mattress set, appliances (non-working). Provides items that are a NEED and not covered by any other funding source.

Provides asssitance obtaining eye glasses for individuals unable to afford eye glasses themselves. * Program provided through partnership with the Wooster- Madisonburg Evening Lions Club to sponsor a joint sight fund to help meet the needs of Wooster area residents.

Provides assistance with dental care, prescriptions, and glasses for Veterans and their dependents on a case-by-case basis.

Emphasizes assisting those with visual needs (glasses) but any other needs will be considered. Scholarships awarded to Lucas graduating seniors who are selected from applicants.

A service club that primarily helps with eyeglasses, however will try to assist those in need.
