Eligibility
Program is designed for people who:
  • Are United States citizens or legal residents.
  • Are age 18 and older.
  • Have not seen an ophthalmologist in three (3) or more years.
  • Do not belong to an HMO, PPO, or the VA or have other private insurance.
  • Has not been seen by an EyeCare America ophthalmologist in the past.

Fees
Patients without insurance receive care at no charge. Eyeglasses, prescription drugs, hospital services, and fees of other medical professionals are not included in this program.

Ensures that every uninsured adult has access to medical eye exams. Eligible applicants receive a comprehensive, medical eye exam and up to one (1) year of treatment at no out-of-pocket cost for any disease diagnosed during the initial exam. NOTE: EyeCare America is a one-time referral program. Patients seen through EyeCare America are not eligible to apply again.
