Lending Closet - equipment is made available on a loan basis to the general community. Items that may be available are: Bedside tables, Canes and Quad Canes, Crutches and Brace Crutches, Shower Chairs and Stools, Toilet Chairs and Elevated Toilet Seats, Walkers and Seated Walkers, Wheelchairs, with and without Foot Rests. All loans are for 6 weeks, with the option to extend for an additional 6 weeks.

Agency provides financial assistance to low income deaf and hard of hearing residents to assist in the purchase or repair of hearing aids, and to provide assistive devices, hearing tests, ear molds, and other necessities. This agency works with local hearing aid dealers and suppliers to provide hearing aids to those who qualify for their assistance.

Helps pay for adaptive equipment for the visually impaired. Will pay for up to 50% or $1000 maximum benefit.

Services provided help Ohioans with disabilities learn about or acquire assistive technology. Assistive Technology refers to devices, equipment or services that assist individuals with disabilities to function independently in the areas of work, home or school. We offer several programs and services to achieve that goal. We also keep up with current legislative activity that affects persons with disabilities, and educate legislators about the needs and concerns of citizens with disabilities.

Provides information on autism spectrum disorder and low-incidence disabilities. Offers a lending library on autism spectrum disorder and low-incidence disabilities. Library includes a collection of assistive technology devices that are available for loan to parents and educators.

Provides hearing assessments, consultations, treatment and equipment for children through the geriatric population. Sells hearing aid batteries, ear plugs, and swim plugs as well. Assist in purchases and use of TTY and assistive listening devices. Also provides hearing screenings for preschool to school age children. Special testing for balance disorders and auditory processing disorders. Call for more information.

Loans medical equipment, including canes, walkers, potty chairs, wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, lift chairs consumable products, and other items. Loans are for a 3-month period but extensions are available.

Provides equipment to improve quality of life and independence for Service members with disabilities. Equipment includes visual-enhancement devices, software programs for those who cannot type, specialized wheelchairs for those who are unable to ambulate and water softener systems for those with catastrophic burns.

Offers a variety of durable medical equipment on loan from one day up to three months if need be. Those who borrow the equipment are asked to sign a waiver form, which is provided. There is no charge but donations are welcome. We can provide the following items: Wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, rollator walkers, shower chairs, bed side commodes, bedside tables, reachers, knee scooters, bed rails, and other misc. items.
