Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) services include attic, wall and basement insulation; heating system repairs or replacements; air-leakage reduction; and other measures where appropriate. Works to help homes conserve energy by installing compact fluorescent light bulbs. Meters refrigerator energy use to determine if it is an "energy hog." If so, customer may be eligible for energy efficient unit. Program provides wiring upgrades and roof repair/replacements ONLY when it is necessary in order to proceed with weatherization assistance (through the Home Weatherization Assistance Program or the Housewarming Program), as determined by weatherization program staff.

Provides a weatherization review, safety inspection on combustion appliances such as a heating unit, gas stove, water tank, etc. Other services may include a tune-up / repair of combustion appliances, insulation of attics, insulation of sidewalls, sealing of heating ducts, insulation of floors or foundation perimeter, insulation of water heaters, reduction of air leakage from major sources, personalized energy management plan and information on how to control humidity in the home.

Provides an energy assistance program to help households use less energy while increasing the comfort of their homes. A home inspection is completed to determine the most cost-effective weatherization service for each home and provides a personalized energy management plan. Services may include safety inspections; tune up/repair of heating unit; insulation of attics, sidewalls, floors, and hot water tanks; low flow shower head and faucet aerators; pipe wrap; reduction of air leakage from major sources; replacement of inefficient refrigerators and freezers.

Offers energy saving solutions and education on utility usage. Households participating in program may also be eligible for a new energy-efficient refrigerator or freezer, light bulbs, and water measures.

Households with regulated utilities will receive a home inspection to identify services necessary to improve energy efficiency.
