30-unit apartment complex for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Preference is given for homeless individuals, but it is not mandatory for admittance. Each of the Apple Grove buildings has five one-bedroom apartments with a kitchen, bath, and living room/dining room combination. On-site community building provides an indoor recreation area, and ample outdoor space is also available for recreational programs. Community support services are provided to individuals by The Counseling Center.

Works to foster independence by focusing on housing retention, vocational development, and employment. Provides a domiciliary for veterans while they receive care through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Serves those with chronic substance use disorder, compulsive gambling disorder, chronic mental illness (or who display suicidal ideation or who are in danger of self harm), major medical problems and who are unable to sustain a residence. Offers services such as psychosocial treatment and rehabilitation, outreach services, referrals, vocational counseling, post-discharge community support, compensated work therapy, any necessary medical and dental care, medication, and counseling. Will help individuals access their Veterans benefits. Will also place veterans in group homes inspected by Veterans Affairs.

Provides rooms in houses for those moving from homelessness to self-sufficiency. There are 3 houses total. Individuals are expected to maintain their rooms, to do their laundry, to purchase and prepare their own food, and to interact with and get support from other residents through regular house meetings.

Emergency and transitional/permanent housing for clients The Place Next Door is a housing community for persons with a severe and persistent mental illness. Guidelines: - Applicants must have a diagnosed mental disorder including depression, bi-polar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, PTSD, anxiety, etc. - Applicants must be unaccompanied or single with no other person that will be living with them. - They have to have enough income to afford the $651 (approximately) per month rent, a housing voucher or some way to pay. Rent includes utilities. - Prior evictions are considered on a case by case basis as a part of the application process. - They can apply M-F 8-3. They are not taking appointments. They can just walk in. - If they have photo ID, SS card and proof of income that is helpful. - If they are not already a client of the Main Place, they will have to do an intake first.
