- Provides transitional housing and services to female victims of domestic violence. Permits children to reside with mother. - Designed to be longer-term housing of up to one year after a possible stay in secure shelter. - Housing is subsidized by The Portage Metropolitan Housing Authority and is located at an apartment building in Kent. - There are 11 units with two (2) bedrooms each. - Will help clients seeking stable housing with acquiring household items and furniture.

Application process
Call the office Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm to apply. There is a 30 to 90 day waiting list for this program.
Fee
Rent is subsidized, based on income (can start at zero income). Resident is responsible for paying 30% of income towards housing and utilities. Case management and other services are free.
Eligibility
Serves female victims of domestic violence with children. In most cases, serves those coming out of the Safer Futures shelter program, however, participants do not need to be coming out of a domestic violence shelter to access this program. Available for women with criminal charges, on a case-by-case basis.
