Serves as a local service provider for Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP), a federally funded low-income residential energy efficiency program to reduce low-income households' energy use. Offers individualized client education. Services may include: - Attic, wall, and basement insulation. - Blower-door-guided air leakage reduction. - Heating system repair or replacement. - Hot water tank repair or replacement. - Light bulbs may be replaced if they are incandescent. - Testing and possible replacement of refrigerators and freezers. - Health and safety testing and inspections. NOTE: Program participants are required to let all contractors and inspectors in to complete all work that they deem appropriate. If all of the work is not completed, participants will be billed for the work that is completed.

Provides 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages to those who are not first-time homebuyers. Available loans include conventional, Federal Housing Administration (FHA), VA, and USDA-Rural Development government loans.

Provides boxed/bagged meals.

Offering limited emergency assistance with car insurance bills and car repair expenses to eligible households. Eligible household can receive a one-time financial assistance for one (1) form of vehicle expense, including a car insurance bill OR car repair. NOTE: Assistance for these services is limited and there may be period of time that assistance is temporarily unavailable.

Provides meals and basic needs for all of our residents and begins providing custom services the minute they walk through our door. Each resident is given a uniquely tailored Action Plan, outlining individualized, agreed-upon goals which they are held accountable for accomplishing. Programming includes: - case management - navigation/referral services - life skills training - budgeting classes - cooking classes - Celebrate Recovery (a faith-based recovery program).

Provides a hot meal. Meal may be eaten in or taken to go.

48 One and two bedroom units. Trash, water, and sewer are included in the rent. Pets allowed with a pet deposit. Accepts Metro Section 8 voucher. Offers USDA Rural Development subsidy. Units are lead safe.

Assists families in lowering heating costs by improving the ability of the home to release and retain heat. Provides heating system tune-ups, inspections, safety and health testing. Assists in individualized client energy education.

Provides transportation services for seniors to doctor appointments, stores and restaurants monthly.

Provides first month's rent and security deposit to help veterans establish permanent housing. Will also help with rent to help veterans stay in their current housing. Clients are provided with benefits assistance, landlord/tenant assistance, and case management to ensure that they are connected to available community resources and VA benefits. Clients do not have to stay in the county they reside in (may move from county to county).

Offers supportive services such as the school lunch programs and school bus services; will also assist students in obtaining work permits.

- Assists in locating materials for research and leisure such as books, journals, magazines, newspapers, CDs, audio books, DVDs, and other reference materials. Also offers large print materials. - Offer downloadable collections of books, audiobooks, and movies. - Provides public computer labs with Internet, Adobe Creative Suite, word processing and printing capabilities. - Offers free wi-fi service. - Offers copying, faxing, and scanning services. - Offers mobile hotspots to check out. - Provides public programming including crafts, book discussions, classes, lectures, performances, and activities for all ages. - Offers computer instruction courses of varying levels throughout the year. - Carries special collections for teachers who need several copies of a book to use in class.

Provides assistance with the costs of case in an assisted living facility. Client is is responsible for "room and board" expenses.

Provides home delivered meals for the homebound that are unable to cook for themselves. Delivers vacuum packaged fresh meals that are edible for 10 days after delivery. Provides breakfast, lunch and dinner from a low-sodium and diabetic friendly 8-week rotating menu plan through home delivery by employee.

Offers privately owned rental housing that is made available to low-income families at a reduced rate. Has 2- and 3-bedroom units.

Provides planned transportation, offering curb-to-curb service with driver assistance, if necessary. Provides transportation for all needs such as medical, social, shopping, bank service, veterinary, etc. Limited out-of-county trips are possible with advanced notification and at a fully allocated cost. Passengers with disabilities are permitted to have service animals accompany them and must notify the office if there is a service animal. Passengers are required to notify the office if they will be using an oxygen tank during their trip.

Provides meals after major disasters, during times of temporary need, or during emergencies including blizzards.

Offers excess water and sewer charges forgiveness and payment plans for City of Akron customers due to toilet leaks, burst water pipes and unknown underground leaks. Limits customer's water and sewer bill repayments to no more than 150 percent of the average of the previous 12 months.

Provides the use of a washer and dryer to those in need.

Provides a food pantry of shelf-stable food and fresh produce. * Pantry provided through partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank.

Offers bagged meals and hot to-go meals to the community.

Provides bagged groceries for individuals who have an emergency need for food.
