The Trailblazers is a program at Stonewall Columbus for LGBTQ Adults ages 55+ that was created through a generous gift from The Legacy Fund. Trailblazer events include seminars, computer workshops, The Trailblazer Newsletter, and Social Outings. Each year Stonewall hosts a series of seminars on issues ranging from legal issues, healthcare and computer use. The Trailblazer Newsletter goes out via email about twice a month and highlights a variety of upcoming events and outings. Our popular social outings happen at least once a month where Trailblazers meet at the Center on High and get a ride to the theater or a concert, and then finish up at Union Cafe for discounted food and drinks. The Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival has a special Trailblazer Lounge where you can get out of the sun, relax, and even use separate restrooms. Ask about getting a Trailblazer wristband so you can get in! This year has been busy for the Trailblazers, and there is still much more to come, so join us!

The Complex Medical Help Program (CMH) formerly known as the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps, is a health care program in the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). CMH links individuals with special health care needs to a network of quality providers and helps individuals and their families obtain payment for needed services. CMH links families of children with special health care needs to a network of quality providers and helps families obtain payment for the services their children need. Major components of the program include: conducting quality assurance activities to establish standards of care and to determine unmet needs of children with handicaps and their families; funding services for the diagnosis and treatment of medically eligible conditions; collaborating with public health nurses and local health departments to assist in increasing access to care; supporting service coordination for children with selected diagnoses; and assisting families to access and utilize appropriate sources of payment for services for their child.

Gives referrals to other agencies within the community. Provides legal advocates to assist in the trial process, if charges are pressed and assist in the filing of the Victims Compensation forms. Mental health services for children and youth, including: individual and family therapy, early childhood assessment and treatment, psychiatric services, case management, residential home for male youth (Paul's House), and comprehensivetreatment to address problematic sexual behavior (Awareness Program). COVID-19 Temporary Message: Signature Health is continuing to offer all services. There are doctors, counselors, case managers, and supervisors on site every day. Hours of operation are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Telehealth will be used as much as possible. Individual counseling is provided via telehealth for those who have the capability. Patients who walk in can use a SH tablet to talk with their counselor. If absolutely necessary they will be seen in person. Case managers are available remotely and a Walk-In Case Manager is on site every day. New assessments are being conducted by phone or via telehealth (secure video). Anyone who enters the building will have their temperature taken. If someone brings a patient/client they will be asked to wait outside.
