Offers limited assistance for cancer-related costs such as Transportation to and from cancer treatment, Home care, Child care, Pain medication, Lymphedema supplies (breast cancer only) for eligible individuals. As a nonprofit organization, funding depends on the sources of support we receive at any given time and our funds are on a first come first served basis. We encourage you to call our Hopeline 800-813-4673 to find out which specific programs are open for you to apply for. If we do not currently have funding to assist you, we will refer you to other financial assistance resources.

Accepts volunteers to help with providing activities for residents (such as teaching arts and crafts, or helping with children's activities) and to help organize storage areas or clean. Volunteers receive orientation and training on the first day of services. In some cases, volunteers may use their services as a reference on their resume.

Assists in developing a collaborative plan of action for multi-need children and adolescents upon referral. A child may be considered a multi-need child if he/she is involved or eligible for involvement with more than one FCF involved agency (BDD, Juvenile Court, mental health or substance abuse services, among others.) Secondary services such as peer support partners, respite care, intensive home based services, in home support services may be available to children that are active in the Wraparound program.

Christ-centered maternity home where single, pregnant women learn independence and financial security while building positive family cycles through education and everyday family living. Services are personalized to each resident and her goals. Focus is on helping clients heal from past trauma and unhealthy relationships. Additionally, residents pursue education and gain skills in a multitude of areas. Some include:

Group for youth ages 13-17 years old who have been referred by schools or parents for drug abuse.

HNNEO 211

Provides a group home for 20 children (2 beds for emergency foster care); services include individual, group, and family counseling; recreational program; education coordination (with Eaton Public schools); ongoing assistance for ex-residents (employment/housing/living skills). Primarily serves Preble County youth ages 8 to 18; other counties by referral.

HelpLink 211 Dayton

Provides opportunities for those age 50 and older to work as one-on-one literacy tutors for elementary school students in grades 1-3 who are attending schools in the Cleveland Metropolitan and Euclid school districts. Program focuses on improving reading fluency. Tutoring occurs in person at the school site, during the school day.

Provides free car seats, and car seat instruction to families who could not otherwise afford protective passenger gear. Special K.A.R.S provides education to physicians, childcare professionals, and families who require the use of a special needs car seat. Free special needs care seats and education are available.

Buckeye Hills offers Home Accessibility Modifications and Minor Home Repair for seniors age 60 and above and for those under 60 with a disability in need of handicap accessibility repairs.

Provides a program that partners with low- to moderate-income families to provide them with an opportunity for home ownership that would not otherwise be possible. Habitat partners with those who are unable to secure a conventional bank loan, and also offers opportunities to those who can acquire their own financing. Habitat constructs energy-efficient new homes and preserves existing homes.

Offers new and secondhand furniture, appliances, clothing, toys, and other material goods for sale at minimal prices.

Offers primary care and emergency room services, including a variety of specialties. When patients need help with prescription costs, will assist with finding and completing paperwork for drug company patient assistance programs. Will not fill prescriptions.

To help residents avoid tax foreclosure by paying off their delinquent property tax debt and address the underlying issues that caused their difficulties. STAR connects property owners to the resources they need, such as home repairs or maintenance, social services, financial counseling, or other help as needed to avoid future instability.

LSS 211 Central Ohio

Provides an adult day program. Offers a variety of health, social, recreational and therapeutic activities as well as supervision, support services, and in some cases, personal care. Staff consists of Registered Nurses, Trained Practitioners, and Licensed Social Workers.
