Offers community locations to drop-off standard household materials for recycling. Drop-off locations accept plastics, glass, and metals generally used for food or beverages (i.e. plastic milk jugs, glass pickle jars, steel vegetable cans), bottles, cans and cardboard/paper products. .

Provides a library featuring books, periodicals, and audiovisual materials on the subject of gardening, botany, horticulture, nature study, conservation, and environmental issues. Offers materials that detail the educational aspects of these subjects with an emphasis on elementary grade curricula for school teachers. Also features a collection of rare books.

Provides a view of color-coded maps information via website (www.miamivalleyair.org) that determines if pollution levels are elevated. The program also issues air pollution advisories (APAs) when concentrations are on the rise.

Provides a specialized library of over 60,000 volumes focusing on the natural sciences. The library currently receives 650 different titles of periodicals through subscriptions, gifts and inter-institutional exchanges. Also has a large collection of maps, reprint and pamphlet files, slides and audio materials, and some extremely rare book collections of Audubon, Gould, Curtis and North-American Indians. In addition, houses archival records about the Museum, professional papers, and special collections about people/events associated with the Museum.

Offers many educator workshops throughout the year for a variety of environmental education curriculums and makes available topical display items that pertain to the subject.
