Victim Services | Cleveland Rape Crisis Center

Provides support, assistance and legal education to survivors of rape, sexual assault or sexual abuse when survivors choose to prosecute the offenders. Explains the legal aspects of rape and assault (but does not give legal advice), facilitates communication between client and other parties such as police and the courts, helps clients write Victim Impact Statements, and assists with dealing with the Ohio Parole Board. Helps clients access programs for victims of crimes in the State of Ohio and makes referrals to lawyers.

Case Management / Peer Support - Substance Use Disorder Issues And Mental Health | Thrive Peer Support

Provides community based peer support and case management to persons recovering from substance use disorder and to those with mental health issues. Service is provided by persons with similar life experiences. Targeted services are also provided to victims of human trafficking.

Day One - Anti Human Trafficking Department | Crime Victim Services

Provides crime victim support, case management services, and counseling to victims of human trafficking. Will refer clients to appropriate community services as needed. Will provide rides and accompany the client to legal meetings and proceedings as well as medical appointments, etc. Provides counseling to victims of human trafficking and will refer the client to outside service if psychiatric services are needed.

Counseling / Family Therapy | Womensafe

Provides confidential counseling with a mental health professional for victims of domestic violence. Offers counseling for children who have witnessed or experienced some type of abuse or violence. Provides family therapy and parent education focused on helping the household to recover from past abuse, violence, or other traumatic events. Seeks also to prevent abuse within families who may be at risk due to a variety of stressors including: large family size, teenage single parenting, financial problems, drug problems, special needs children, etc. Teaches how to deal with child and parent anger issues, to handle conflicts and manage stress, to recognize cues from children and address their needs, to administer reward and punishment, and to build better communication among family members.

Holocaust Survivor Support Program/Cafe Europa | Jewish Family Service Association Of Cleveland

Outreach program providing counseling/case management and essential services enabling eligible individuals to live independently in the community. Services may include care coordination, counseling/case management, assistance with filing reparations and/or pension claims; financial assistance due to eligible individuals; and personal care/light housekeeping. Volunteers are specially trained to provide social companionship to survivors. Also provides an opportunity to gather and socialize, to celebrate Jewish holidays, and to attend arts and cultural programming on a regular basis.

Prevention, Retention And Contingency (PRC) - Disaster / Fire Victims | Cuyahoga County Job And Family Services

Provides aid to families in the form of a voucher to buy items or pay for emergency services related to establishing a household after the family has suffered a disaster. MAY BE USED FOR: rent payment and/or security deposit ($750 maximum), stoves and refrigerators (maximum $200); baby furniture; children's beds/mattresses (maximum $250), and children's clothing (up to $150 per child); replacement of adult clothing due to fire or flood (up to $225); general furniture (couch, table, etc. - up to $400). MAY NOT BE USED FOR: entertainment furniture (such as a TV or a radio), washers or dryers (unless it is essential for an applicant's employment or needed due to a disability), mortgage payments. YEARLY CASH LIMITS: $1,500 total during the calendar year (may be $750 for certain non-custodial parents).

Workforce Development | Freedom A La Cart

After 6-months of sobriety, survivors of human trafficking are eligible to transition into the workforce development program, where they receive paid training and personal support while working in our catering kitchen and café. The 24-month program includes resource management, job coaching, life skills development, social connection, trauma counseling, educational support, job shadowing, and internships with business partners. Direct support is continued for another year to strengthen job retention.

Changes Outpatient Therapy (PHP & IOP) | Columbus Springs

Outpatient Partial Hospitalization & Intensive Outpatient Therapy for adults and children as young as 12 years of age. The following illnesses are treated: Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder. Our program begins with a mental and physical health assessment. Based on your assessment and your needs, our team will recommend a treatment plan that typically includes a combination of talk therapy, holistic therapies, peer-to-peer support groups, and medication management. Sometimes people with mental health issues are also struggling with substance abuse. A treatment plan that addresses individuals needs and symptoms will be developed.

Community Psychiatric Support Team | Womensafe

Assists individuals in gaining access to a range of services available to them in the community, such as housing, income assistance, safety, physical and behavioral health needs, parenting education and vocational needs. Develops an Individual Service Plan (ISP) with the client and works with victims of domestic violence on issues of self-esteem, life-skills, and safety planning for themselves and their children. Also provides reestablishment services, such as relocation assistance and emergency rent/mortgage payments, security deposits for those with financial need. Often provides needed household items such as furniture, cleaning products, personal hygiene products, clothes, food, etc. Maintains follow-up contact with clients for a minimum of three months to two years.

Green House - Emergency Shelter For Survivors Of Domestic Violence | Womensafe

Provides temporary emergency shelter for survivors (women and men) of domestic violence and their children. Can house up to 32 people. Counseling, support, parenting education and advocacy are offered to residents. Provides on-going support to prevent re-victimization. A case manager will provide life skills training to help clients procure housing, employment, food, clothing, etc.

Woman2woman Mentoring Connection | Jordan Community Resource Center

Provides a structured mentoring program. Mentees are matched according to their skills and interests with women in the professional community who serve as mentors. Mentors and mentees meet once a week to discuss specific topics such as resume building, life skills, job guidance, self-esteem, interpersonal communication, and goal setting. Participants also attend workshops centered on these topics.

Restoring Family Links / International Services | American Red Cross - Northeast Ohio

Helps locate relatives in foreign countries that have been separated by war, including those missing since the Holocaust, and some disasters, depending on location. Provides a web site where families search a list and post inquiries on the welfare of persons affected by disaster. Individuals may register the names of persons they are looking for that are not on the list. Victims of disasters and those in conflict areas may register their own name to let others know their location and that they are safe. Relays messages to relatives in countries lacking dependable mail services (primarily in African countries).
