Bureau Of Services For The Visually Impaired - Bsvi | Opportunities For Ohioans With Disabilities

Provide services to help people with visual impairments gain or retain employment. Services could include evaluation, vocational counseling and guidance, providing adaptive equipment, training in the use of assistive technology (ex:JAWS) and orientation and mobility (helping people get around), treatment and job placement assistance.

Pilot Dogs | Pilot Dogs

Trains dogs to guide the blind. Provides two and a half weeks of in-residence training to successfully match the blind person with a guide dog. Room, board, all equipment, and round-trip transportation are provided free of charge to the student.

Offers Information & Referral services to Ohio residents and their families experiencing blindness and vision loss. Support groups and weekend activities are offered at various times throughout the year. ACB Ohio has a state conference held in Columbus each fall. Also, people interested in becoming a member for a small fee will recieve a quarterly newsletter.
