Provides a team of specialists who can diagnose, treat, and provide ongoing management for foot problems that may develop due to diabetes.
Provides comprehensive primary care services including general physical examinations, immunizations, assistance with chronic illnesses such as asthma and diabetes, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries. Also provides comprehensive dental services.

Provides an emergency diabetes supply assistance for individuals who are diagnosed diabetic. Clients can receive one month's worth of supplies (glucometers, strips, syringes, etc.) one time in a 12 month period. Do not provide insulin.

Offers a wide assortment of brochures, literature, newsletters and other related diabetes materials. Answers questions regarding type I diabetes. Offers one-day seminars to equip diabetics and their families with tools and resources to manage this disease.
Support Group for those diagnosed with diabetes. Topics include self management, nutrition, blood glucose monitoring, medication, exercise, lifestyle and complications. Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6-7 pm.

Includes a three-part series including diabetes education, demonstrations and tasting of healthy foods. Follow up meetings held to discuss progress since the initial class. This is provided by the OSU Extension office.

Provides a group to assist those with a diagnosis of diabetes in dealing with the condition.
Provides summer residential camp programs for youths who have Type 1 Diabetes. Camp participants engage in fun and educational activities. Different camps are offered such as: traditional sleep-way camp, family camp (where the whole family participates), leadership training, and Buddy Camp (where the child can bring a friend or family member with them). shorter weekend-long camps for teens are also offered. Along with traditional camping activities, Camp Ho Mita Koda provides teaching moments to help build a foundation for proper diabetes management in a closely monitored and safe environment. Develops a personal plan beast suits each individual camper. Camp is supported and works in conjunction with many pharmaceutical companies and hospital systems and are able to provide many supplies for campers while they attend camp.
Offers free literature and books about diabetes are available to patients and their families. Will also advise individuals on employment issues, health insurance coverage, legal rights, and other similar issues. Will provide referrals to various community resources.

Overnight camp, Sunday through Saturday, for children ages 7-17 with diabetes; Counselor Training program runs simultaneously for young adults aged 18-21; this is a medically supervised cabin camping experience including swimming, arts & crafts, meals defined and prepared by dieticians and student intern dieticians; volunteer pediatric endocrinologists and nurses on site for the full duration of camp.
Provides test strips for monitoring blood sugar levels, and lancets and/or syringes.

Service includes assistance from registered dieticians, who are also diabetes educators, and who can teach meal planning, diet modification, and weight control. Healthy U Chronic disease and Diabetes Class is a small group workshop that is designed to help older adults put life back in their life. Healthy U may be for you if you have long term challenges with chronic disease or diabetes or are a caregiver for someone with this challenge. A benefit of participating in Healthy U is the support you will receive finding practical ways to deal with pain, fatigue and depression. This 'free' class, which meets once a week for 6 weeks, will help you discover ways to be more physically active, find out how to eat healthier and practice ways to relax and deal with stress. Each workshop is facilitated by a pair of leaders, one or both of whom are non-health professionals with a chronic disease themselves.

Provides advocacy for health fairs - The American Diabetes Association publishes materials for the general public, as well as, medical professionals. Booths are set-up at public fairs. Books, literature, slides, video, and trained speakers are available. In-Service Training - Offers free training to health professionals, schools, organizations, and corporations. Topics include emergency procedures, diet, nutrition, exercise, complications, and general detection.
Sponsors the Diabetes Expo 1st Sat of Nov each year, where individuals can gain diabetes and wellness education through speakers, screenings, exhibits, and one-on-one diabetes discussion.
