Different camps are offered such as: traditional sleep-way camp, family camp (where the whole family participates), leadership training, and Buddy Camp (where the child can bring a friend or family member with them). shorter weekend-long camps for teens are also offered. Along with traditional camping activities, Camp Ho Mita Koda provides teaching moments to help build a foundation for proper diabetes management in a closely monitored and safe environment. Camp is supported and works in conjunction with many pharmaceutical companies and hospital systems and are able to provide many supplies for campers while they attend camp.
